A lot of good choices here. I really like Macabre/Triton/Ferak but since I can only pick one I'm going with Fang. I've always liked the design.

I went with Macabre - the Decepticon who slew Xaa.... actually, Impactor.

Oh, I like them all. I have even started thinking about doing some kitbashes - based on the IDW designs, though.

I think that the SW Crossover Cad Bane would be a good Crosscut, and the Marvel Crossovers Hulk Bulldozer (or the tank) a good Earthquake.

Voted for Macabre, though. I wonder what he transforms into... must be a plane of some sort, with those wings.

If anyone can help me find designs sketches of these guys' IDW appearance, I'd appreciate it (the TPB had sadly, none). I have sketched up a "Tales of Squadron X" story already, about the formation of the squad, and I want some visual aid for my friend who will draw the comic.

Macabre. I remember seeing a nice Digibash of him using CHUG Cyclonus as a base. Besides that, he seems like the coolest of the bunch, and as default leader we need a 2-pack of him vs Impactor.

I picked Ferak because he's got a pretty distinctive jet mode, because he's from one of the most memorable G1 stories, and because I like his head and red face from Last Stand.

They could probably get away with making Macabre and Ferak from the same mold, just with different wings.

If they made Red Hulk out of the Bulldozer Hulk from Crossovers, a simple headswap could make a custom Earthquake.

Macabre. His aesthetic looks like it'd fit the best. The others tend to look like Ninja Turtles villains.

That reminds me, I've actually managed to do all of Squadron X in my various Botcon digibashes (thread here - http://www.allspark.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=75768 )

I've put them all in one place if it helps get those brain juices flowing. Click the pic for the large version

Ooooo! Spiffy!

Although going by LSOTW, I think Tornado had a ground-based mode. He definitely had what appear to be wheels on his shoulders.

Still. I would buy the hell out of that Macabre.

I was mostly going off the G1 comics for these guys, hence Ferak's look (I wanted to get his alt-mode looking right, since that's all we saw of him in G1 and his Wreckers colours are pretty much the opposite)

But c'mon, how can /Tornado/ NOT be a jet!

Macabre or Fang because I remember those two the most from their original appearances.
I'll probably go with Fang because I associate him with Piano Transformer guy.(A guy that I really want)

I've always really liked Triton's design, but I think I'm gonna have to go with Fang.

Yes, he had the same "Transtech" style wheels Animated Blurr does. I think he is some sort of a motorcycle, and could be made from Cybertron Ransack, actually.

I still cannot identify whatever Triton could transform into, and Fang too has no hints of an alt-mode. The two of them look pretty much the same in IDW as in Marvel UK.

And Ferak's head is dead-on Cyclonus, with smaller horns. There was a Marvel Crossovers Iron-Man flying wing, which has similar wings as Ferak, so again, could be done.

Ferak's LSOTW design is actually lifted from this guy.

I'd buy any of them. I'm a sucker for obscure, especially in relation to the Marvel comics or LSotW.

That said, limiting it to one I pick Crosscut. 1)I really like his unique head and 2) the Cybertron/Smelting Pool/Spacebridge story is one of my all time favorites.
