@FB: I agree, but that's not the show's fault, it's Hasbro's (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

I think this whole "Here's a new guy! He's awesome!" storytelling style would fare better if there were at least toys on the shelves that these constant guest-stars would be advertising. I think it would fare better if there was more to it than "Here's a new guy! He's awesome!" I'll be fine if he doesn't show up again: he's less a character and more a means to a very common plot device. I really didn't see why they had to use Wheeljack to the point that he looks like a stylized version of the Generations toy, if He's not going to be Wheeljack. I've no problem if he didn't look like G1 Wheeljack. But They could have picked ANY Wrecker and have had the exact same story and personality.

With a new toy, and a possible role in the new movie, Hasbro may have just picked him out of the list of guys the studio sent them to be Bulkhead's buddy.

Very good episode. It didn't blow me away, but I don't really have anything bad to say about it. It's a little disappointing that Wheeljack is nothing like his G1 self, but that's not a big deal.
Makeshift may well be dead, but his schtick would realistically never work again, anyway. -------------------- I have signatures disabled because they suck.

Loved Wheeljack's design, but was disappointed that he had no powers of SCIENCE!
I can accept the new personality as long as it doesn't become super popular and override his old one in future endeavors. They really need to stop, allegedly, killing 'cons in their introductory episodes. We didn't even get to properly see this one! and it was the first Prime original Transformer! (not counting the Vehicons) edit: To be a bit more positive, I really liked Ratchet's facial expressions this episode. Considering they already have one manic smart guy, and G1 Wheeljack had a Brooklin' accent this doesn't seem too extreme a shift to me.

Yeah since the first description for this episode came out I've been raising mental eyebrows, Bulkhead's friend? Couldn't he be Ratchets friend?
Wheeljack could have easily been Drift, but I'm not sure how well that would have went over. Especially with his swords. This post has been edited by Fenix Twilight: Feb 25 2011, 08:15 PM -------------------- |

The mention of the Wreckers gives me hope that they'll keep at least some continuity with Exodus and we'll get to see their leader eventually.

Awesome episode, I loved Wheeljack's fights. Makeshift was a plot device, so it's not like I'll miss him. In fact, it's nice to see that they have other named Decepticons onboard.
Also, next episode has humans as bad guys? Sweet, I liked that part in Animated, I hope they do it well here too. -------------------- Don't fail to see Nyarlathotep if he comes to Providence. Wheeljack was an awsome character. I hope he comes back someday. I got a good vibe out of it and it just got me psyched for the next episode. I'm sure liking this stuff. ^^

I'm surprised they got away with Arcee calling Wheeljack Bulkhead's boyfriend. Not only that, but Bulkhead didn't deny it, or react in any negative way to the suggestion that he might have a boyfriend at all. -------------------- ![]() |

What a great episode! Simply, all around awesome!
I also believe this is the first ever cartoon mention of both "Wreckers" and "Darkmount," yes? So cool. -------------------- |

The first unambiguously good Prime episode. I expect the rest of the series to be at least this good from here on. -------------------- The TFWiki: when just five Infernos aren't enough. http://www.tfwiki.net

Great episode. Wheeljack is by far the best (Prime) Transformer yet. He'd make a good toy. I hope it has a mouthplate.
My only question is, how in the world did the Decepticons capture him? This post has been edited by Starfield: Feb 25 2011, 11:14 PM |

Yeah it was a good episode. The continuity with the previous episode and the little nods here and there were great. I really liked Wheeljack's design. His new persona works, though I'll miss the old one.

Oi. Quite a letdown after last week's episode. We're right back to plot devicey character, EPIC MODE ALL THE TIME Prime, Miko's annoying "rock", and hey, let's have heroic Autobots strap a bomb to an unconscious enemy and toss him away, cuz that's what good guys do.
On the plus side, Wheeljack kicked some epic amounts of buttocks. Overall, not horrible, but not terrific either. Just... there. -------------------- QUOTE You're far too young to be this bitter and angry at the world.... ![]() |

Huh, I woulda thought you'd be a bit more alarmed about Wheeljack being exactly like Drift.
