Well... That doesn't translate quite as nicely as I hoped it would, but it is nice to know we're getting Prime toys.

It looks like the least screen accurate thing about her is her chest.(aside from her weapons and extra kibble)
Can't wait to see the figure unphotoshopped and properly transformed. (copied from the tempspark. Didn't want to have to think of a third reaction.) -------------------- |

That's cool, and I guess we know what that Deluxe Generations Arcee listing was for now.

Okay, I was not expecting to see this today. Looks great!
QUOTE Arcee and the rest of the Prime toys will be available on Oct. 1 Sigh. I mean, we pretty much knew that, but still, I was foolishly hoping for a surprise early release. |

The thing I like the least about this is the swing we'll have from people freaking out because they think we'll never get Prime toys to people freaking out because they think we'll never get a G1 Arcee.

That's cool, and I guess we know what that Deluxe Generations Arcee listing was for now. Randy I'm still not really sure about that. I can see it both ways, but it really depends on whether Prime deserves it's own toyline or not. Considering how many characters are being revealed I'm guessing it does. Maybe due to Arcee's recent exposure they feel a G1 toy has a chance? -------------------- |

She better have enough hip articulation. Doesn't look like they'll be able to sway much. That's cool, and I guess we know what that Deluxe Generations Arcee listing was for now. I don't see how this positively definitely absolutely cements her as being the Generations one. After all, this'd be like if the first waves of Animated were sold under the Universe banner. Except worst, since Hasbro's putting more work behind TF: Prime. -------------------- QUOTE You're far too young to be this bitter and angry at the world.... ![]() |

Huh. The toy looks better than the design does on the show.

That, and Generations Arcee is just two waves away while this one isn't out until fall. I think we're getting Generations Arcee in part to hold people over until we get Prime toys. -------------------- |

We could get a hold on new waves while Dark of the Moon has its run though, but that's unlikely.
It's far from an exact replica of Prime Arcee, but it's about as close as I'd think a toy could come to resembling the design, and it doesn't look like a half-bad toy either. Head seems a trifle small, but that's probably just the photo. Keep the panel-age to a minimum, and you've got yourself a fun toyline. Arm blades are a bit too large though. And I'm almost disappointed with how un-stylized she is: give her a new head, she'd fit in pretty well with your Classics toys. (Five bucks says she gets used as an eventual Botcon exclusive, because, hey, fembots.) -------------------- Being part of any fandom is fundamentally embarassing.

Good point, but this reveal does give a strong argument that the Warpath wave of Generations will wrap up that line, or at the very least, just leave Hasbro to trickle out a couple more with remolds and redecos hinted at in the instruction manuals. Wheeljack is the only shared mold with United that's left to go in addition to the surprises of Thundercracker and Warpath. As thrilled as I'd be to see an all new and original G1 Arcee mold be released by Hasbro, all signs point to it being a pretty big longshot now. Still curious why Takara didn't choose to release all the original molds Hasbro decided to (Thunderwing, Warpath). Perhaps 22 releases under United was a magic number, all ending in a fantastic conclusion with those two pending eHobby exclusive three packs. |

The article mentions Starscream, if that's right it means Prime's toyline will not just be the Autobot cast.

Yes! They gave her the arm blades instead of a gunhand. So yeah, I'm happy. Don't need any other figures, just this.

I'd be really surprised if Prime toys were just a subset of Generations. I mean, it's a successful show on Hasbro's own network, and it's already been greenlit for a second season before the first has really started. It's clearly going to be a bigger push than just some Deluxes crammed into another line.
Also, I don't know if they'd typically give a release date for something that's just a Generations assortment. |
