QUOTE(Original Post by Galenraff)
As you may remember (or can read about here if you don't), last year we raised $2340 in just under a week to donate to the Hasbro Children's Hospital om an amazing show of community action for a great cause! Well we're going for round 2 as we try and make this an annual event!

With a deadline of February 28, we're setting a goal of raising $5000 for the Hasbro Children's Hospital in order to become a Bronze Sponsor at their annual gala in early March. We're suggesting a $5 minimum donation per person, but of course any amount will be appreciated. And hopefully many of you will be able to either donate more or will be able to pull together some spare change a few times during the month.

Just like last year, I'll collect all the money and take point in donating to HCH. Or, if you don't really care about the fees and just want something quick and convenient, you can use this awesome widget put together by Daytonus!

Yes, this is a big goal, but this is also a community that has proven it can rise to great challenges for good causes, and after we shattered 3 consecutive goals last time out, I really just wasn't comfortable underestimating you again. Thank you all so much for what I'm sure will be an awesome effort!

Celebrate Valentine's Day with Cannonball and the Allspark as we give the gift of love and compassion to the patients at Hasbro Children's Hospital. Regardless of whether you're single or spoken-for, the Allspark Staff has come up with some suggestions for making that day even more special!

* Getting flowers for that special someone? Consider buying a smaller bunch, or even a single rose (see some ways to make that not look cheap), and donating the difference to the charity drive.
* Instead of buying something, make something! It'll mean more to the person anyway.
* Single? Show that your heart is bursting with love regardless by giving to the drive!
* Looking? Impress that guy or gal with your generosity. Trust us, philanthropy is sexy.

Tell us what you are doing this Valentine's Day!

Sharing code for the widget (works in signatures):

CODE
<iframe src="http://allsparktoybox.com/charity/box.php" style="border:0px;width:400px;height:200px;display:inline-block;overflow:hidden"></iframe>

You can also use this static image if you're embedding somewhere that doesn't handle iframes:
(IMG:http://dl.dropbox.com/u/97051/allspark/charity-box-static.gif)

Or use this slim version to save sig space:

CODE
<iframe src="http://allsparktoybox.com/charity/box-skinny.php" style="border:0px;width:500px;height:25px;display:inline-block;overflow:hidden"></iframe>

-------------------------------
Edit:

Now with pony sigs!

All the pony sigs here: http://www.allspark.com/forums/index.php?s...t&p=1760372

Sample:

CODE
<iframe src="http://allsparktoybox.com/charity/box.php?pony=ts" style="border:0px;width:400px;height:200px;display:inline-block;overflow:hidden"></iframe>

Sent $25 via an e-check.

I'll try to do more later in the month. Money is tighter now that I'm student teaching.

Thank you for your support! I'm totally with you on the poor student thing, which makes your donation even more meaningful!

Should have my tax return in about a week. Normally I "celebrate" by throwing a little money at some toys I've been holding off on. This year I'm going to donate that money instead. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-ironhide.gif)

I've got some money in my Paypal account that I'm using for this, but I'm not sure how to get it reflected in our total. Can I send money to myself? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

I'll figure that out.

Thanks for the great support we're already seeing everyone, mere hours after this going live!

Matched my most recent Transformer purchase (thus the weird number). I figure if I've got money to spend on toys, I've got money for charity.

Thank you!

As an aside, if you don't use the widget to donate, the graph won't immediately update, since Galen has to send me the numbers to enter manually. That's totally okay, I just want to be clear so people don't expect the tally to go up as soon as they Paypal their cash.

That's all right. We're not doing this for the sake of the graph.

I'll have to get some money together. Trying to save money to buy my own place, so I might not be able to contribute as generously as I did last time, but we'll see. But given what I spend on toys, if I can't pony up the change, then that's a major moral failing on my part.

I'll be trying to send Daytonus updates daily as a matter of routine, but let me take a look at what we've got right now.

I was still over at TFW when you guys did this last year... in addition to making cash contributions, could we put toys up on the auction block for the cause?

Oh, absolutely! Whatever you'd like to do to help raise money for this cause would be most gratefully accepted!

You besmirch the time-honored occupation of prostitution with your insinuations, sir.
