Red Leader of the 2005 Boards has posted an image from RTS Wreck-Gar's instructions, showing the alternate head. It is the same head as Scrapheap from the e-Hobby United set. This more or less confirms that Hasbro is producing generic Junkions as well. Whether he will be named Scrapheap also or another name remains to be seen.

That looks like a different Junkion entirely to me, that isn't Scrapheap's head. What with the mouth and curved antenna.

Yeah, looks like Junkyard or Ashtray to me and not the same head that Scrapheap was given.

I see a different head, with a mouth. Maybe they're going a different head?

It'd be awesome if Hasbro/TakaraTomy did actually make two additional heads in addition to the normal Wreck-Gar one, what with so many different Junkions.

Now that I've gotten a closer look, Scrap Heap has a face plate and no antennae, while this new head does. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-ball.gif) Getting a second alternate head is even more reason to rejoice. Wonder if they will go for a trifecta. Yeah it's easy to miss if you just look quick (because of the visor) but definitely a different head in those instructions. I wonder if this makes people more wary about a possible Hasbro release of Scrapheap now that we've seen another head. Randy -------------------- ![]() |

That is 100% Junkyard. Even has the ribbed, upward-pointing horns.
Sweet. (Wonder what the chances of him actually getting named Junkyard are. Not for Trademark reasons, but, y'know, whether Hasbro's aware his name is Junkyard.) -------------------- |

Hopefully they use it. I don't know if the latest Mutt G.I. Joe figure called his dog Junkyard or not.
Though if TakaraTomy got the name Scrapheap from Hasbro (I wouldn't be surprised if they did just because they seem to follow suit regardless if the figure is released by Hasbro or not) then the names may be a bit more random as Scrapheap isn't much like the Scrapheap from the animation. Please, let them release the Takara one here, too. That would be oh so sweet.

Well, we could see Black Shadow over there, they haven't said when United's cutoff date is yet.

It actually makes sense for Hasbro to release as Many Junkions as possible, seeing as they are designed to be able to ride one another, It's understandable they wouldn't advertise that feature with Wreck-Gar because people would complain that they are being forced to buy 2 of the same toy to pull off the feature. In most likleyhood on the back of Junkyard's card we'll see a tiny pic of them riging each other with the caption "Junkyard compatible with Wreck-Gar figure (sold seperatly)"

Very cool that we have the very real possibility of a third head, I never liked the idea of using a toy with Wreck Gar's head as a generic.

Well, we could see Black Shadow over there, they haven't said when United's cutoff date is yet. It's possible. If we don't hear about more United by the end of February I'm calling it a day. Unless we get a lot of store exclusives which is possible. Randy -------------------- ![]() |
