I seem to recall the whole concept of the first Movie was that Megs wanted to merge with the Allspark. In the 2007 game's Con ending, he even does that -and becomes all-powerfull. But I have seen it a long time ago, and only could bear to watch it twice, so I might confuse things with the leaked script I read in more detail. Perhaps there is a difference between an intentional merging and having it violently shoved into his spark? -------------------- |

I don't get why people think Cliffjumper is definitely dead.... he was zombified by "Anti-Energon" then caught in a huge energon explosion. I would not be surprised if he doesn't show up later in the series all "hulked Out" considering the effects of the AE.

And like any bad guy in this situation, he probably thought he could handle the power of absorbing it, but couldn't. The Prequel comic, where we DO get to see his mindset before the first movie, didn't exactly paint him as a rational being, more obsessed in a Thunderwing-like sense. -------------------- ![]() |

QUOTE I don't get why people think Cliffjumper is definitely dead -beaten -killed -cut in half -exploded Not saying he's definitely dead (he never turned gray!) but I can certainly see why people would think he is. If he does come back, though, he will be considered more badass then even Furman's Grimlock, or Nick's Overlord. Prime's Megatron juicing himself with DE is similar to what happens in the first mission of WFC, though I bet WFC Megs did not jump into the whole thing without some research - he arrived at the station with a clear idea of what he wanted. He must have had access to the current research of Dark Energon, a calculating intelligent villain like him is unlikely to take risks that could easily kill him. I wonder how Prime's Megatron (should we call him "Megatron Prime"... "Megatronus Prime" ?) aquired this crystal. And just why did Unicron bleeds the stuff in the first place. Considering he said "plucked from cosmic shores" I'd say that he just tracked it around. According to the Hasbro Bible, Dark Energn is basically Unicron's essence that got spread around the universe when he died (probably a death involving explosions!)
Tho WFC Megatron using Dark Energon is even more insane than the Prime one, because if he did research, then he knew what everybody said about it: that it was terribly dangerous. -------------------- ![]() |

That felt super-violent for a kids show. I haven't really watched a kid show in a while though. There just seemed to be a lot of decapitations, dismemberments, and zombiejumper alone would be enough to keep my hypothetical future children from watching.
Other thoughts - Ernie Hudson! Yay! - Megatron needs to learn to delegate: Starscream: "Fetch a sample for Megatron" Megatron: "I can do that, fool! Get me a sample!" - Liking Coombs' Ratchet. - Kids are irritating but not insufferable. - Still dislike the design in general (Rafe has the head of a miniature Jay Leno). - Jack's Mom looked like the first generation of the Sims, just awful. - The Energon Mine battle looked low rent too, I'm guessing a deadline caught up with them and they went with a less intensive rendering process. -------------------- |

Tho WFC Megatron using Dark Energon is even more insane than the Prime one, because if he did research, then he knew what everybody said about it: that it was terribly dangerous. Sooo... in the Prime universe, Unicron is already dead? Well... bummer for the upcoming final confrontation then. (Though they could not do any epic apocalyptic battles with so very few cast members, anyway.) Which brings up the question... just how limited Prime's budget is? Can we expect sudden deaths like in BW when new characters are introduced? Will we see more then the 5 Autobots? (I know we will have more Cons). regarding WFC Megs - if that guy had something, it was sheer, awesome willpower. I recon the reason everyone else died who came in contact with Dark Energon was that they were scientists, testing a substance. Megatron came to the base to take power, pure and simple, utterly sure of his own abilities, without wavering. His "entrance" with the ship shows that. He simply bent the power of the stuff to his will. -------------------- |

I'm sure we'll never see the dead guy whose blood raises the dead. |

The decepticon drilling machine was pretty cool.
I kinda wished it was a transformer itself though, and not a vehicle. Still looked nifty. -------------------- |

Is this the first time a Megatron has actually offered his Starscream immortality? Well, he probably figured it'd happen eventually anyway. . . Spikescream? Orochimaruscream. We'll probably see Cliffjumper in flashbacks. This. I can't see any feasable way to physically revive him (especially since, even if he did survive that mine explosion, he'd still be just an arm, a head, and 1/4 of a torso). If Arcee was as in love with him as she seems, I definitely expect her to start having The Dreams. -------------------- ![]() |

Just a close platonic friendship. I certainly did. She, more than any of the Autobots, was devastated by Cliffjumper's demise. Her words to Jack in the final episode also suggest very deep feelings between them. |

Spikescream? Orochimaruscream. Leeronscream! Her words to Jack in the final episode also suggest very deep feelings between them. But Transformers can't procreate with humans! This post has been edited by SpinOut!: Dec 6 2010, 01:09 PM |
