So we're already not really fitting in tight with Exodus or WFC, as they act like Dark Energon is new to them.
Can't say I'm surprised. -------------------- Signature? I don't need no stinking signature.

Ok. Not happy.
HIGHLIGHT to view: So they get my boy The Rock to do a voice on the show, only to kill him five minutes into the first ep, tease a revival, turn him into a Unicron-powered Zombie, then cut him in half and toss him down a hole? Color me pissed. This post has been edited by Big Show: Nov 26 2010, 04:39 PM -------------------- QUOTE(David Willis) There's a distinct difference between buying something and SUPERbuying. Color me pissed. I pretty much expected that since he probably costs way more than normal voice actors. Having him aboard, even for a little bit, brings validity to the series for the general mass public. -------------------- |

Oh, I understand the intention.

Yeah, the writing, animation, fight choreography, music, production design, characterization, tone, and pretty much close to everything was just absolutely awesome.
The overall story is a little bit inaccessible and tosses us a tad too much right in the middle of things without any real introduction. For non-fans, this isn't going to be an easy sell, I think. Also, Optimus is WAY too overbearing in his delivery. Cullen's style from the movie has clearly carried over here, but he really needs to start approaching it in a more relaxed and natural way. Not every single line needs to be spoken like it's his last. But I really like what we're seeing here, I think it's possible that this series could turn into something really special if some of the later episodes come with a tighter story and plot. But there's a lot about this show that is really genuinely cool, and I'm excited to see what happens over time. |

yeah, he wasnt in any of the preview stuff aside from a breif clip of him here or there.
maybe he'll show up in flashbacks? who knows... im kind of annoyed that bumblebee is still tied by his movie representation. i dont like the mute bug-eyed skull face version of him, and it seems like thats what we're getting here... arcee is a favorite so far. her lines are very well written and delivered still not sure i like the decepticon models, but megatron is a convincing threat. starscream has a lot of character about him, and seems to be actually competent for once i like that theres some logic behind the kids being involved this time around. and they seem fairly tolerable. kinda sad that its going to be a while before we can see eps 3-5 -------------------- |

It kinda bugs me that Starscream was the same height as Cliffjumper, but maybe he'll go all Dark Energon too and grow to an acceptable jet to car scale.

D'aww. Cliffjumper's design was by far my favorite. Grim stuff!
That's my only complaint. Well, that, and the fact that Bumblebee can't speak. Again. The rest was pretty solid. The voice acting is damned good, Prime and Starscream were excellent, and Welker's deeper Megatron voice surprised me. I really like it. |

Here's a bit of advice: if you're not good at lip-synch animation, then stop doing so many close-up shots.
Modeling may be improved, but Mainframe circa 2000 could still kick this show's ass with character animation. -------------------- Being part of any fandom is fundamentally embarassing.
