"Community" has blown my mind with their meta-television and is without a doubt my favorite program on TV. But just when you thought that their Halloween zombie episode was the most amazing thing that could happen they go and do this...
(IMG:http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/6894/communityanimatedchrist.jpg) QUOTE When Abed (Danny Pudi) wakes up in stop-motion animation, he takes it as a sign that he and the group must re-discover the meaning of Christmas. Meanwhile, Jeff (Joel McHale) and Britta (Gillian Jacobs) become growingly concerned about Abed’s mental health and enlist the help of Professor Duncan (John Oliver). The group undergoes hypnosis to explore Abed’s winter wonderland and soon unravel the truth behind Abed’s madness.

Wait.
Really? You're missing out on the best sitcom in years with tons of bonus stuff, for cheap, to "send a message"? And it isn't even a good message! Digital looks likely to be the dominant format inside of a decade. Blu ray doesn't have that much longer than DVD before obsolescence. I mean, you're only cheating yourself, and have every right to your opinion, but to quote the hit British sitcom "When the Whistle Blows", "I don't get it." -------------------- |

And it isn't even a good message! Digital looks likely to be the dominant format inside of a decade. Blu ray doesn't have that much longer than DVD before obsolescence. Who's missing it? I watch it when it airs. I'm not going to buy it on a dated format, though, when a BD release is inevitable. Nor am I overpaying for an intangible download of it that probably isn't even true 1080p, has no bonus features, and is limited to certain devices either by format or DRM. Digital distribution may become dominant eventually, but not anytime soon; and not for people who actually care about the product they're paying good money for.
