Oh man, I thought that was just a black-and-white photo of the Mini-Cons, but no, they must have actually changed their colors to be black and grey like the G1 Targetmasters! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-ball.gif)

I thought the same thing at first, but I love it. It's how you know they're the same guys (since the bodies are not the same). Though whichever is Fracas should have a red/orange face.

The missiles on Icepick's Minicon are colored in copper.

That Mini-Con in the middle is one we haven't seen before isn't it? Could be Undertow's, I'm not sure.

He's Airlift. Skyhammer's Minicon.

Yeah I wonder if he'll look like that guy or some other one.

He at least has the distinction of being the guy who chains Springer in copter mode so he can't escape.

Heck, I planned to repaint my PCC minicons as Targetmasters anyway, they beat me to it. Though I wanted to make Leadfoot's engine/gun guy into Spoilsport.

Makes me even more curious what if anything Takara will do with the actual PCC toys.

I really hope United gets a comic still, and hurrah for Junkions!

I'm really hoping for either pack in comics and/or something in one of the regular magazines.

We'll be lucky to get one it seems though.

It seems to me they're likely to be out December 25th with the first wave of United. But don't quote me on that.

Now here's what I'm wondering, Is the Scrapheap head an e-hobby original, or is it the secondary Wreck Gar head mold that The hasbro version would have produced.

I don't recall e-Hobby ever creating any tooling wholely original to their Transformers releases. All their stuff uses pre-existing tooling.

THS-2B Convoy had new G2 style heads and cannons that didn't come with the regular THS-2.

There were other figures that had exclusive parts not seen in the regular release, but all of those were preexisting parts on a Diaclone, Microchange, or older Transformers release.

Regardless, Hasbro will have access to that alternate head either way. When and if they choose to release it (which is probably just a matter of when and not if), is another question.

Randy
