I imagine Rodimus is reenacting the scene where he opens the matrix and is all blue as a result. Funny how Takara's and Fun Pub's exclusives seem to mimic each other at times (SG Rod & Wildrider, SG Cyc & Strafe, and now Sideburn & Clear Blue Rodimus).

I was hoping to finally get a cartoon accurate Rodimus. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-screamer.gif) Oh well this is something I've wanted too for a long time.

I hope the 3 Decepticons look really cool in those colors as it's not something I'd get excited about. Makes me think of the clear purple M. Bison that SOTA put out years ago.

I wonder if battle damaged Kup means he's all melty like he was in the film and cartoon.

Randy

They'll make the toy stiff and make you think there's been a piece left out.

It seems the exclusives will be mostly clear versions, according e-Hobby. Other than Kup and Scrap Heap.

The Autobot Set:
- Rodimus Blue Clear Version
- Kup Damage Version
- Scrap Heap (Remold from Wreckgar)

The Decepticon Set
- Galvatron Purple Clear Version
- Cyclonus Purple Clear Version
- Scourge Purple Clear Version

See? See? What did I tell you? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-waspy.gif)

Goes to show about Takara's imagination when it comes to repaints...

I guess the Cons are supposed to represent their transformation when they were created by Unicron. And Hot Rod his own transformation to Prime... although in the movie, he never gloved blue.

Only one I'm curious about is Kup, some painted cracks and rust would look good on that mold... but I can do that myself at home easily. Or Reprolabels will.

Scrapheap will most likely get a release in Reveal The Shield or even United, after all, it's hasbro who made the new rule about 2 heads for every deluxe mold.

Or maybe, he will be sold with an intentionally sawed-off right leg and right arm... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif) I still wonder why Hasbro did not make a "pull my spine out!" Movie Jazz, you know. They did make a "decapitation scene" Jango Fett after all.

He did when he caught the Matrix during Prime's death scene.

You can't preorder from them unless you live in Japan. So you'll have to go through some retailer (like BBTS, TFsource, Digital-Toys, etc) to get them.

You used to be able to (I ordered Sunstorm/Hauler, Galvatron reissue, Galvatron II, Broadcast & Steeljaw, Twincast & Flip Sides, Laser Prime, and Laser Magnus from them), but they stopped letting people do it outside of Japan with Protect (Black) Ironhide. That's also when the English translations of bios on their webpages stopped.

Well, as per Henkei Strafe, Wildrider and the rest. Also most of the e-hobby editions.

Well, I guess fans of Energon weapons will dig a clear purple Nightstick.

Unless of course he's absent from this set.

Good, because I wouldn't pay $10 each for those repaints, but i'll buy the Targetmasters. I hate clear plastic and battle Damage.

And just like that, any interest in this set that I had dies a quick death.

I'd wait to see how Wreck-Gar's instruction booklet looks before freaking out and ordering the set with Scrapheap

Well, good. You'll probably pay about $70 each for those Mini-Cons so it all works out.

Unlikely. They're the same promotional deal as most Japanese exclusive Mini-Cons... buy 3000 yen worth of TF United product at a certain store on a certain day. So prices will range from $15 to $30 a whack... possibly more depending on the store.
