So I had this crazy idea of a Motormaster as heavy wrecker truck, and I'd like to see this drawn.
In case you're wondering what I mean by "heavy wrecker truck", I mean something like this: (IMG:http://www.mcdowellwrecker.com/truck2.jpg) I was working out a re-imagining of Motormaster's design in the vein of Ultra Onslaught and Silverbolt, with the front end of the truck forming Clench-style shoulder pads, the chest being formed from the cab of the truck, pointed upward, the arms and legs forming from the rest of the truck, and the big boom being able to form both a rifle and a sword. That IS a cool idea. I was thinking a wrecker truck would make a great movie ultra magnus. Or movie motormaster. I realize you said classics... just thinking aloud (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif)
If this were a kitbash, what figure would you customize? Laser Rod Optimus? Other than that, if someone did tis for you, would you be upset if the design changed a little? For instance, I would like to put the front cab windows on the legs, a la original MM. But most of the other stuff could still be done the way you wanted. -------------------- |

So the obvious choice was to go with a partial front cab transformation leaving the trailer as a...oh I don't know...additional hardware of some sort. The second idea would involve using the entire body and go full bot mode (no sketch yet). I imagine the tow wench component becoming sort of a Gravity Hammer like the one the Brutes use in Halo, if going that route. The hard part would be engineering a transformation using the cab and sleeper section without it becoming a backpack. Suggestions? -------------------- |
