 Sidearm Sideswipe, he is a completly diffraant mold how can they do that and why? |

So I found him today and all of him is diffrant than the orignal deluxe

Because he's an awesome design and they wanted to take another swing at it?
There's also the new Ironhide and Bumblebee molds. Not sure why Sideswipe is any more surprising. -------------------- |

They also recently made a new Ratchet mold and a new Optimus mold. Basically Autobot in the film that isn't an Arcee, one of the Twins, Jolt, or died permanently got a new mold.

I think it's great that he gets a new mold, but I'm a little surprised that Hasbro thought it was worth the effort. I doubt anyone would have complained if they'd just kept using the same old mold. It's not like anyone was expecting or anticipating a new mold for him, especially when he just got a HA toy. |

He was in the film only briefly, but apparently he made just enough of an impression for him to sell toys though. The new mold Deluxe. Several repaints of the original mold. The first repaint in the Human Alliance line.

He's going to be in TF3 as a convertible, so they probably made him with that in mind.

I would complain a little about whether Sideswipe warrants another mold, but we're getting so much we want this year, both old and new, that I really can't bring myself to be all that annoyed about it. I want the Japanese version of this, since it looks like the movie, but I think I'll miss the swords. Hopefully any improvements on the first version are significant, since I thought that was actually a great mold except for the feet.

I kinda wish Jolt would get a new mold, since the whips are not really good on the one we have. But thats not gonna happen since hes not in the next movie.
So Its nice to see Guys like Sideswipe get multiple molds. |

There was a rights issue between Hasbro and another company about this make of car. If you notice the Sidearm Sideswipe vehicle mode its not 100% the Stinger. This is also why TF3s car is now a cab and has a spoiler.
