Megatron's face looks kinda skeletal. I'm diggin it, and the 'Bots are nice too. Still want to see 'Screamer, Soundwave, Bulky and Ratchet's vehicle mode.

I saw Cheet's under the topic name and immediately thought he'd just posted some Optimus Primes.

Looks like fairly shoddy re-renderings of the concept art from SDCC. Not going to read too much into these.

Well, the character designs certainly don't mean anything about the quality of the show itself. But based on those designs, like Animated, I'm probably not going to be too interested in the Prime toys.

Which is fine.

It's pointless for me to say, but I honestly am not feeling these in the absolute slightest. They're just...uninteresting. They don't grab your attention like they should. Suffice to say, I'm pretty bummed that this is the sole TV show/toyline we're getting for the next 5-10 years. That's a hell of a long time to wait for something different.

I really hope the story is good, Beast Wars or Animated good.

I really like the way these look. It's like they took the general idea of the movie designs but got rid of everything I felt was wrong with those. They're now sleeker, smoother, traditionally "armored", distinctive and colorfull. Very decent design job. Prime is the weak link to me, looking the most movie-ish. But Megatron, Ratchet, Arcee and Cliffjumper are all very cool.

I like them a LOT MORE than I liked the Animated designs early on. Now of course that show turned out to be the best thing since Beast Wars, but just goes to show you can't trust first impressions. The writing quality will be the biggest factor IMO.

ZacWilliam, really wants to see Bulkhead and was a bit disapointed not to see him here.

Well, I'm not particularly interested in the toy versions of these designs as yet?

Ah. Well then. Apologies all around.

Won't be surprised if you change your mind later though. Once we, you know, see actual toys. But I won't!

(What can I say? I loved the Megaman-ness of Animated's designs, I really, really did. Awesome toys.)

I didn't change my mind on Animated. If I like the designs, I like them, I don't change my mind later, I guess.

I'm actually more interested in these than I was when we got the first promo image for Animated and I ended up loving it, so things are looking very good so far. I don't know how long Prime will end up being, but I'm actually glad that Hasbro is actually trying to give this series its own distinct visual style just like with Animated.

Well for me I like the designs for the most part.

The toys or the story itself have to really interest me to want to buy them. I'm sure I'll pick up some once they come.

Wait where are you guys seeing Megatorn?

Anyway, love the designs, they're like Animated except with actual detail and richer coloring.
