Some new shots of Generations Red Alert, including robot mode! And some nice comparisons too.

I have to say Red's colors are looking pretty nice and different despite being so similar to Sideswipe. I'm more surprised it's a photoshoot by Gen Zhao that isn't washed out and full of totally redundant images. And it even looks transformed right for once!

I really like the gray/red contrast, esp. on the legs. The black head looks "right" to me, too, since I had the toy when I was a kid, but never saw him in the cartoon (Never saw any of season 2, in fact.) It's still hard for me to get used to the idea of Red Alert or Grapple NOT having black heads. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

Yeah that's surprising to me too, but they are 2 waves apart.

Red Alert is very nice, and I would have gotten him in a heartbeat if I didn't already have the Henkei version (and honestly, I think I like the HenKei version and its vibrant colors a little more anyways).

He's really pretty. The white/gray contrast goes a long way towards making him distinct from the Henkei, without making him look not like Red Alert.

And you could put the supercharger on in "Sunstreaker mode," sticking up... although that might look silly. Not like Reddy had a jetpack anyway.

I don't think you can put the backpack up in the Sunstreaker orientation for the Sideswipe body. But I haven't checked.
