I'm thinking about buying a Nintendo 64, but I dunno if there's really enough games that I want, considering many of the console's big hitters, like Mario 64 and the Zelda games, are on later Nintendo consoles which I already own. So I felt I should ask - what is there on N64, but not Wii, DS, or Gamecube, that would make it worth buying one? They have to have been released in Europe (which I imagine most will have been), and I have no interest in first-person shooters, but if there are enough good games of whatever type then I might well buy one.

Blast Corps! Probably my favorite N64 game of all time! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-silverbolt.gif) Oh, how I'd love a sequel.

Too bad too few N64 games have been ported to the DS/DSi but thank god for reliable hardware!
Something tells me I will be able to pic up and play Turok and Body Harvest long after my 360 has died and become irreplacable. -------------------- |

Hybrid Heaven and Body Harvest. Two very unappreciated, and kick ass games.

Yeah, looks like you'd have more fun with the Dreamcast, but if you ever decide to get a N64, a few games I'd like to point out:
Well I'd 'like' to suggest the two Castlevania 64 games, but I completely understand I'm in a major minority for loving those games. I'd definitely suggest the first Paper Mario, as I think it was only relased on the N64, and it's a great RPG. BomberMan Hero. Really, it's an awsome platformer. I suggest the Resident Evil 2 port if you like those kinda games. I liked the N64 port mainly for the extra files and such thrown into the game. Were the Rouge Squadron's ever released for other systems? I only have the first one, but it's pretty fun. Star Fox 64. Great game, and I don't recall it being ported. Kirby The Crystal Shards. My first and sadly only Kirby game. But it sure was fun! Again, pretty sure it was never ported, but I could be wrong. Mario Kart 64 is still pretty good. If you like Pokemon, I suggest giving Pokemon Snap a try once. Don't pay a lot for it. Once you beat the game, it'll be a long time before you go back to it. -------------------- Pinkie's Tail is twitching! RUN!

^ Except Kirby, Starfox, and Paper Mario are available on virtual console....
I'll reccomend Donkey Kong 64. I used to play that at my friends house all the time! -------------------- |

I KNEW there was a way to play them on newer consoles. I keep forgetting about Virtual Console as I usually have all the games listed there on their ACTUAL consoles. So yeah, maybe not those three. -------------------- Pinkie's Tail is twitching! RUN!

No, I think this is about good games. I said "good", not "great". Most people have been listing "great" games is all. Plus, being a Transformers fan tends to help, and I hope you understand why I took the liberty of assuming someone posting here would be. XD -------------------- Jesus loves you!
