QUOTE Nrama: Pat, it’s true that you have what can be considered a controversial past. With a renewed visibility on this project, are you expecting controversy in return? And how would you answer your critics? Lee: I am aware of the controversy to some degree and I respect what everyone has to say. I understand people's anger towards the past and I'm not going to challenge them. People make mistakes, I'm just as human as everyone else is. However, I've always enjoyed drawing comics and I respect any and all comments, bad or good - everyone has the right to speak their mind! But I'm still going to continue drawing comics and do what I love. He's aware of it "to some degree", people! Whatta guy. -------------------- |

I am glad that he understands everyone's anger towards him, regarding his mismanagement of his business dealings, paying of his employees in apparently imaginary funds, and shifting of Dreamwave's assets to a Dream Engine to escape his creditors (which were also his employees in many cases). I am sure now that he's cleared the air, the former employees he screwed over will be more understanding of how he played a complicated shell game to avoid the consequences of his catastrophically bad business practices and moved on to become a successful comic artist while not paying them one red cent.

Why ain't this under Comic Discussion. TBH it's getting what close to ten years since his crap was pulled. He dosent exactly have anything to do with TF anymore.
Personally all i can say about the guy doing new high profile stuff is that i would'nt work him, and i've told him directly. -------------------- |

Probably because of all the things he did in his run of Transformers and Dreamwave, the shouldn't even be *allowed* to work in comics any more. And when people say "Why is Pat Lee blacklisted?" They can refer back to his theft and dishonesty during Transformers.
The fact that he sucks as an artist, not-with-standing. |

QUOTE People make mistakes, I'm just as human as everyone else is. You know what else is human? Trying to fix your mistakes. Brushing the whole issue off like that makes him sound like even more of a douche, if that's possible. |

I'll say one thing for Michi-chan. He's managed to give us something that we, as a fandom, can agree on.

QUOTE It’s definitely a fun ride throughout the series. Creatures, women’s heads getting chopped off and limbs getting torn off. It’s something you don’t see a lot happen with women anywhere. The series is about women being courageous and fighting for family honor. So, without sound like as sales person Strong courageous women getting beheaded! A rarity in the modern industry. and the typically inevitable reference to honor. QUOTE I not out to prove anything Really, making fun of this is pretty unfair, it's totally possible that the interview just had bad transcription. But fun is fun. -------------------- |
