!!!!OPEN FOR COMMISSIONS!!!!
Here is a current commission project I am working on. He is made from a 1/24 scale Lancia Stratus Turbo model and a Masterpiece Skywarp frame. When he is done he will be fully articulated, have l.e.d. lit eyes, ears, headlights, taillights, and gun. He will have transforming sounds, custom weaponry like his shockblast gun and working shoulder cannons that launch his missiles. I will be doing a custom airbrushed paint job before applying his decals and he will be coming with the MP-04 Prime base with augmented sound chip to say a specific "Wheeljack" phrase. This dude is going to be awesome! I will update more as I go. Any questions or comments please feel free to ask. This post has been edited by Streetwise: Mar 16 2010, 10:54 PM |

Nice!
And WHOA those are some bright ears. I wonder if sound chips are hard to come by... might be fun to put in some recorded G1 phrases and have the amplitude of the output drive the ear flashes. Or have a contact pad on his back which makes the ears light up when touched, for play-value ventriloquism, Prime-battle-mask style. |

I have a chip that reacts to vibration that is going to go into this. It will make the ears and eyes flicker similar to when he is talking. If you find one that has the capability you spoke of let me know. I would love to do that. |

Wow...Just..wow!
I so wish I could comission you to do up one of these, but I'd imagine it is waybeyond my budgetary abilities...My poor butt is broke! See? There's a huge crack running right up the middle! *OW!* Put that shockblast cannon down, it was a JOKE! Granted a lame one... In all seriousness though I am unable to afford one right now, and thus will have to admire it from a distance... until I either get a nice-paying job or get a sugar momma, lol! That is truly a Masterpiece, though. I can't imagine how much effort goes into making such a sweet piece of artwork as that! If I could, I'd do like they do at a wrestling venue and get a crowd cheering with me, "THIS IS AWESOME! *Clap-clap! Clap-clap-clap!*" |

If you find one that has the capability you spoke of let me know. I would love to do that. In the 90's, Tiger Electronics had a line of little pocket electronics for kids called "Yak-Bak" that let you record voice samples and flange them and other effects. Doing a quick google search for "voice recorder toy" found several things like this for around $15 (including one made by Takara-Tomy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-waspy.gif) ) The toys themselves are about 2 inches by 3, generally, but if you swap the speaker, remove the buttons you dont need and remove the casing, you would just have to find a home for the circuit board and you could store batteries and the speaker anywhere you could lead wires to. I am sure there are more techinical ways to go about this, recording digitally and embedding your sounds permanantly, but this would be a quick and cheap solution. Note: I have been planning to G1-ify an Armada Unicron, to the point of adding lights and fiber optics, and I had hoped to add several of these boxes to him, so he can at least have 2 lines & play the Unicron theme in planet mode, but I am waiting for the reissue/remould to come out in case his head is notably more G1-y. Imagine, having the right hand gimmick make him say "I have summoned you here for a purpose." instead of a blinky light (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif) This post has been edited by Takaratron: May 6 2010, 10:15 PM |
