Congrats everyone who's ever been involved with this show. You've helped raise entire Generations of Families.

I still remember watching this show with great anticipation to see if today would be the Day Everyone would finally see Snuffy. watched the daring adventures of Super Grover before I even knew there was a Super Man... Believed that a Frog could be a News Reporter.

I hope My Grandkids will be able to enjoy this ... Another 40 years People. They can do it with our generous Support.

Actually, one thing that's changed a lot is that C is only sometimes for cookie.

Pre-Elmo Seseme Street. What a time to be alive.

And dude, the Simpsons on Seseme Street!

Admittedly, I haven't watched the show since Elementary School, but I recall loving it. Grover and Oscar the Grouch were my favorite characters.

Sesame Street ruined the Beatles for me for life. To this day, I can't hear "Let it Be" without thinking of this...

L-Lion

There was an old lion called Ned
who opened the window and said:
"Needle niddle noo and ticky tacky too."
And then he went back to bed.

Ernie, Super-Grover, Kermit, and Cookie Monster were my favorite characters. I still have a plush Ernie doll that I've had since I was eleven. His ear is chewed thanks to our famlily's first dog but other than that he's in good condition.

That explains why Google's had several Sesame Street themed logos recently.

Sesame Street was one of the shows I grew up with. It had a pretty big hand in getting me to love reading and music.

It just worries me that there's a warning on the Sesame Street Old School DVD that warns that the DVD in question is for adults and may not be appropriate for today's children's needs.

I grew up with both the American and Canadian versions of Sesame Street but I found myself watching the American version of Sesame Street more becuase it was always on and I found myself being so "americanized" that it wasn't even funny anymore.

I always said Zee instead of Zed. All that other stuff that most Canadian people would find repulsive.

Sesame Street was a huge part of my childhood and I'm happy to say that it ended up being a huge part of my daughter's as well. I can't think of the show without thinking about the counting song that played during the pinball bit, the King of Eight, and Teeny Little Super Guy. Those were the days and I wouldn't trade them for anything.

I caught some of Sesame Street CGI cartoons this morning. Man, this show has changed so much since I was little. They looked awesome in HD.

Come next May 16th Jim Henson, the creator of Sesame Street and other Muppets characters, will have died 20 years ago.

Why would you revive a month-old thread to point out that the 20th anniversary of Jim Henson's death is still five months away? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-depth.gif)

Some of my favorite episodes were the ones that had C-3PO and R2-D2 in them when Star Wars was first introduced.

That was soooooo long ago. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-wildride.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)
