Q3. What other masterpiece Transformers will be available in the US after the Skywarp Walmart Exclusive?

A3. We are pleased to announce that the next Masterpiece item that we will be releasing will be Grimlock in 2010. We are excited to be able to offer this item within the U.S. and will certainly share more details as we get closer to releasing him.

So happy to hear this, as I was not looking forward to paying import prices and he was a toy I dearly wanted.

I didn't want it enough to pay import mark-ups, but this is awesome news. The more robot dinosaurs, the better.

WHAT?!
How could Hasbro screw over all the fans that went out of their way to import that figure? They were so vague that we had to pay that insane price... and now they tell us AFTER we already bought it?!

I'm so sick and tired of Hasbro's nonsense! From now on I'm strictly buying Tak/Tomy, I don't care what the markup is! At least they care about their fans!

Nobody should be surprised that this toy is getting a US release.

Yeah, that's true. We're almost at the rate of getting a new Masterpiece figure nearly every year.

I meant more that Grimlock coming out in the US was pretty much inevitable.

Heh. Good one.

I'm hoping this one will have the crown, but I can live without it. Are there any changes that will need to be made for safety? I understand that his sword is pretty pointy and rigid, so I assume that's gonna be tweaked. Anything else?

Oh man I am so happy this is getting released. I was so, so close to breaking down and importing the Japanese toy.

Your icon is supremely appropriate.

Anyway, I'm with the others who aren't at all surprised about this. I was slightly more surprised by Skywarp, actually.
