This was done by me as watching them, and has no pics, so don't ask. But hopefully it might clarify a few things.
----
SPECIAL FEATURES

--Main Documentary--

The concept art is realllly trying to promote Jolt. Hi first ever Jolt Concept Art! Where's my screencap tool when I need it.

AHA! Definitive Proof: Bay is responsible for the Wrecking Balls.

Proctor admits he duplicates car parts for robot modes. "I neither know nor care."

Early concept art for Dev's that Geewunners would have loved.

WOAH! More humanoid combined model for Arcee! Except, her parts are pink, green and silver.

HOLY CRAP! Mit, your concept face for Soundwave is in there! -edit- Maybe not, but it looks awful similar.

Huh, they built their own vehicles from GM's actual file data.

Funny footage of Bay getting luxeries for Orci and Kurtzman as their locked in the hotel room.

All 'spare pennies' put into the end of the film. Yeah, it kinda shows.

Wow, they built a hell of a set in White Sands.

"Part of the location shooting is promising the location won't blow it up, cause they al saw the first one."

Bethlehem Steel "logistically the biggest" thing they did. Woah, all those copters were real!

Nike Made Bay a shoe - called "Bayos!"

Shia is a funny dude. Talking about how he was touring colleges thanks to ROTF, "It's like, hey, I'd be a good addition to your school, KABOOM!"

Bay waste's no money on Stuntmen. Let's dangle Shia from a car 40 feet in the area! And Bay was in the car too!

Megan can also be funny. More of the Megan from this doc, less of the pampered princess she keeps coming across as.

Vegas Odds chart on at what time Bay arrives on-set. And 'Hail to the chief' plays.

Shia messes with Michael Bay. Bay says no more sunflower seeds, Shia fills a cooler with them. Seriously.

Haha, they actually lit the Witwhickys house on fire.

Yep, they did build a dead Optimus prop!

55 Drums of Gassoline, 600 gallons for the biggest explosion ever done with actors. Shia: "No face replacements." "Knock knock, hi death." Megan: "[if it goes off] You're hugged. Your face is gone, no more movie, you're hugged."

Damn that's one big frikken explosion.

"[Bays] never satisfied until he's left death and destruction in his wake." Hehehe.

Interesting commentary on Bay's character by a lot of the actos. He is capable of being a nice guy. Fascinating.

Bay very interested in adhering to military procedure. Only real exception was when they threw Galloway off the plane.

Great shots of the Pyramids. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif)

HEY! Dr. Zahi Hawas! Sorry, Archeaologist thing. He's like the coolest guy, and in charge of the pyramids. I love seeing him.

Turturro and Bay on the pyramids. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif)

Oooh, Luxor.

Shia: "The paint is still there (Luxor) after 3000 years, and the paint in my kitchen can't stay on for 3. Where did we go wrong?"

And then to Jordon! They got there via black hawk..

Hey, the Prince of Jordon loved TF, and was on-set. Awesome.

And now Petra. Only reason they got there was thanks to Prince of Jordon.

Wadi Rum, where Jetfire explained the entire history of Transformers in 5 minutes.

Edit rooms. 4 Editors. All watching film with sound too loud. Explains a loooooot. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-waspy.gif)

Editing section is called "Star Making Sense." HAH!

All 4 editors overlap, different from other films. Also shows.

Heya Peter Cullen!

Also Wilson and Kenny doing the twins. There was more dialougue to the Devs that I think would have made it better.

Ship is indeed called the Nemesis. Sequence said to take place on Mars.

According to Bay, he had complete versions of all his previous films to show audiences with 2 monthes before release. Not true for ROTF.

520 Effects Shots in ROTF (compared to 400 odd for Tf1) - but the shots were much, much larger this time around.

Even characters from Tf1 needed a complete makeover.

Transformations a 'lot more agressive' - more on the move shots. Also worked on character Transformations - Jetfire has to force his own leg into place, Devastator violent.

Kitchenbots!

Wheelie was Bays favorite character in ROTF.

Bay, WHeelie's a "Joe Pesci Little jivehead." Hahahaha.

AH! Pretender loop gives me Nightmares.

Medusa look a later development for Alice.

Reedman other unusual TF. Spielberg high-fived Bay when Bay showed him Previs.

Bay: "I had a few freakouts on this movie."

One ILM guy has way more frikken toys in his office than I do, period. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-waspy.gif)

More Jolt concepts. Yeah, make him feel special!

Ok, watching this, Bay is very much responsible for everything wrong in the film - but he is also VERY MUCH responsible for everything right. Pretty much, this *is* Michael Bay's film.

Bay literally bloked and directed all the CG Only Scenes. Incredibly hands-on.

Bay Mandate: These are not lumbering robots.

The Forrest Fight was epic from the previs! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

The carrier destrucion sequence was epic in it's production. Really, it may not have been the best complete film, but as far as little details and realism, ROTF may be one of the best films ever put together.

OOH! Devs!

Haha, Devs fried a computer. Literally.

Wow, ILM guys are awesome. They pretended to actually fry a computer for the documentary. At least, I HOPE they were pretending.

When Bay first saw Devs, he said "It isn't detailed enough." They had to double his size AGAIN!

They're talking 'bout IMAX. Heh, awesome. Can't wait to watch this sucker.

A render can come out overnight. On IMAX? 3-4 days!

Ok, Bay was SERIOUSLY editing to the last minute. 2 Hours 30 minutes before premiere, he's still doing it.

Bay said people personally told him to Eff The Critics. Heh.

Finished the main Documentary. Transformers History Doc!

Leader Starscream Proto! Mouth shone opening.

Lots of talk on how they were improving toys from TF1. Including Leader Prime, Starscream.

Enough of that. Onto Deleted Scenes.

More college antics.

More Paris Antics. Decent conversation between Sams parents. Wish that had stayed instead of the Escargot line.

Egypt Antics - they try and ditch Leo. Insteresting bit cut afterword, the twins in car mode, look to be in a race.

Ok, that's most the Documentaries, Deleted Scenes and stuff. Next Post will have a Commentary on the... Commentary.

Commentary Time!

Bay's 8th Commentary. Good for him.

Alex talking about not rushing the sequel.

Shut up and talk about Robots!

Bay going on about Shanghai, while kick ass stuff happening on screen that *I* would have liked to hear about.

Forget about Shanghai! ROBOTS DAMNIT! TALK ABOUT SHANGHAI DURING BORING TALKY SCENES.

Oh sure, NOW THAT WERE AT SAMS HOME YOU'RE QUIET.

Bay based the parents on his parents. HA.

Megan booty shot is 'The Shot' according to Bay.

Kitchen Bots liked by kids - but Roberto (Or Alex) would liked to have cut the scene.

Story about how they set fire to the Witwhickys attic. They can blow up the house just fine, but not the attic!

Talk about military discipline, dissention among the ranks, ect.

Roberto and Alex having 'Bad Flashbacks' of the briefing scene. Too much info, bores the audience, ect.

Ehreh responsible for the thrust behind Galloway.

Bay talking 'bout Ramone Rodriguize.

Bay: "Humor is what makes this movie accessible to everybody." (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-primal.gif) :

Pot Scene: Roberto - We wanted to keep it subtle, diiiiiiiidn't happen.

Also wanted to keep Alice subtle. Whooops.

Bay likes Ravage, ball bearings, and Reedman.

Storyboards are 'A Thing of the Past." Bay loves his Pre-Vis.

The sub Megs destroys is the USS Topeka, docked in San Diego. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

Writers toyed with not bringing Megs back. Spielberg insisted that Sam killed Megs.

Bay talks about the Nemesis - wanted the ship interior to be more organic.

The Nemesis feels real thanks to little details. Lights, winds, particles... Bg on lighting to sell the scene.

Raine Wilson - based on real professor of Bays - 'leather pants, no kidding, makes passes off ladies.' Dean of Bay's school guest stars as Dean of Princton - she knew exactly which professor Raine was.

Writers wanted to use Mickaela's dad more, but had no room.

Bay: Likes that Shia is just willing to make a fool of himself.

Writers: Wheelie very different from conception.

Alex has become very sensative to "The smut and the filth we write." (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

Writers had a lot resting on the one scene between Sam and Optimus - especially how his death would weigh on Sams shoulders.

Bay had to make Lucas act like an animal - not easy for a newbie actor.

Technical stuff on how they blew up bookshelves. Bay sounds like a kid.

Roberto thinks that Shia shot both ROTF and Indy at the same Library. "They should name it after him."

Bay praising Shia for acting during interrogation scene.

Bay liked the Doctor being a Nazi. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

HA! Writers read reviews where they said "They rippped off the Matrix. Matrix was around long before that!"

Indian tribe gave them permission to film in forrest fight. Had to pick 'sicker' trees to break.

Coreographing fight with no real fighters is hard. The "Kickass Moment" (Prime drawing swords after flying through the air) was Bay's favorite.

Bay wants to do more with Imax - he thinks it's cooler than 3d! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif) Here's for TF3!

Fallen was tied into Prime because they realized they had no other reason to keep him from dominating the first half - caused rewriting and and reedditng and more.

Bay didn't want to do a War-Of-The-Worlds type reveal, but the story required it.

Originally Megatron graced the television screens and sunk the carrier, but was changed to The Fallen to give him more presence.

According to them, Twins based on Bob and Alex. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

The Military Arrest of the AUtobots was the scene the Military was most sensitive about.

Decision to keep BB mute came from watching ET, and how emotional those scenes were.

Deli filmed on location, with many people actually employees.

Bay loved Turturro - though Turturro says he based his portrayal on Bay!

Wanted to make SImmons room like a mad scientists room. Wanted also to make Simmons be obsessed with Saturday Night Fever - some hints remain in deco, but otherwise was removed.

To Bay, funniest thing entire movie is Megan talking to Wheelie, saying she'll be nice and won't torture him anymore.

Wheelies purpose was expanded by being the guy to give information.

TURTURRO IS COMPLETELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ASS SHOT. He came up with the idea, Bay shot it to humor him, and left it in to please him, and also because "How could anyone be so bold to put his ass on the IMAX scene". Thought about digitally retouching up his ass. But he didn't.

Bay was first person to ever shoot an SR71 for a movie - Armegeddon.

According to Bay, Russians still keep tabs on the Arizona plane graveyard. But Bay didn't fool geography buffs that it was there.

Bay admits Wheelie's humping was crude, and that nobody would believe he'd do it.

Ehren responsible for old Transformer.

They went through a lot of VA's trying to voice Jetfire - 150! Bay kinda stumbled on Mark Ryan's performance (where he was reading on-set) by accident.

The Jetfire exposition scene was originally 12 pages long! They had to cut a LOT out.

Writers: Exposition Jetfire was the worst scene in the whole movie. They just ran out of time. "If you structure your story around a mystery, you're going to pay the price." "Trying to have our cake and eat it too."

Ian Bryce to be thanked for being able to film in the Middle East.

They had a whole sequence where Sam called Lennox and Eps wives - literally changed almost on-set to have Simmons do it and reduce more screentime.

Namedropped TF V GIJoe! "They'll make that movie someday."

Writers: Even Michael would admit he'd need another week or two in the editing room.

Bay: "I'm telling you a gaffe, right here. We ran out of night." (During the part where they leave the pyramids heading toward Jordan, it shows Megan and it's suddenly a night shot)

Some effects shots took 18 Months (!!!!)

It's tough to get your crew up to a place like Petra - they filmed at the top, Spielberg shot Indy at the bottom.

Built the Petra interior set in LA, and used natural sunlight. "You can't imitate the sun."

Tomb of the Prime's is carved foam using new metalized paint to give it it's like. The actors were literally lighting each other in that set!

Writers felt Matrix had to be earned, and turned the idea literal. Moment when Matrix dissentigrates is when Sam changes as a character, and grows into that roll.

Bay filmed the guys jumping out of the plane himself!

White Sands difficult to film because sun makes sand so bright - can only film one direction at a given time of day. Overcast also makes it difficult.

Reused shots from Eagle Eye and MI3.

"They actually let Megatron film on the pyramids!" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-waspy.gif)

Had trouble with the end, showing the Decepticon objective. "I hope people follow it." Benefit of CG Characters helps with that.

Devastator is "True Imax Shot" - Everything is in focus. Some shots he was literally not able to do because of the size of the Cameras!

Built a special sit for the shot where it pans around with The Cons searching for Sam and Mikaela in the little house.

Writers on Dinobots: Couldn't justify - why disguise as metal dinosaur, even dinosaurs wouldn't fall for that. But we pass that on.

Arcee was going to be one bot. Roberto says Bay kills all 3 of em, Alex wasn't sure. (Or other way around?)

They spent the whole Bumblebee/Rampage fight talking about Set Design.

Huh. It was raining while they were filiming the scene where Sam's parents go with Bumblebee.

Talked about F15's during Arcee's death. Thanks for no clarification on that.

HAHA! T-1000 tacked onto a protoform who got his head blown off. Bay, "Look how this little bitch fights. HA! Boom! In the face!" Bay trash-talks Terminator. "IF T-1000 ever tried to take on Transformers, they'd kick its ass."

Writers: The idea that the human story is as important as the TF story - we had to make it that way. Fans don't like it. But story still has to apply to humans.

"How did the Balls come in?" - "Michael, we could have a great sight gag, subtle, then Turturro said Scrotum."

Bay, Roberto and ALex: WE WERE ROBBED OF SFX ACADAMEY AWARD. The darn right we were.

Challenge - Bay wanted Megatron to kill Sam, but writers had to give story logic. Phantom Zone is what lead to the Pime Heaven. First draft of TF1 had that when Sam fell out of the money.

Any ideas writers had for TF2 that they threw out for TF3 got used in Star Trek. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-waspy.gif)

Bay has come close to death, and it's true what they say, everything goes in slow motion.

Writers hope that what Primes said and implied wil lead to elements in a sequel.

Writers toyed with Sam meeting Prime in the dreamscape, but decided against it - it needed to be Sams victory.

Intention was that Con symbol came from Fallen's fate.

Bay: Jetfire was one of my favorites. Not going to bring him back, but we've got to have things like a Jetfire.

Writers: It always seemed unfair the Autobots can't fly - Primes combination was their response to that.

Bay: The final battle got shafted the most. Came down to time. ILM bit off more than they can chew. The fight wasn't everything that he wanted - but he didn't have time, and couldn't make it go on to long.

Ehren is responsible for "Not to call you a coward, but sometimes Cowards do survive."

Writers: You want to end these movies in a way that was emotionally satisfying and very quick. They thought Tf1 ended long, despite people saying otherwise - they also thought this wasn't too quick.

Shia didn't want final scene to end up too sappy. Oops.

Spielberg was responsible for adding in return to college.

AND DONE.

Whew!
