Ooh, I've been looking forward to this. Bring on the inevitable and welcome retcons between comic and film!

So, this was presumably written after the movie came out, right?
Which means the writer has seen the movie and understands how Jetfire's character worked in the movie. Now, the question is: Will comic Jetfire be anything like movie Jetfire, or will he just be Generic Old Flying Guy? -------------------- Looking for a complete Energon Sky Shadow (from Superion Maximus).

I dig the art, and especially the coloring in this. Looking forward to it.

The coloring made it extremely difficult to follow Jetfire and the Constructicons' tussle. That said, teleporting an enemy into orbit and forcing them to undergo atmospheric reentry with you just to take them out is pretty sweet.

Better than the last two issues by quite a bit. Art was a bit more tolerable, but I'm still not a fan - I think it's the coloring that kills it the most. Writing was much better than in the last two.
It solved a few plot holes, but opened up a bazillion more. How did Jetfire know about the Autobots if he was gone before they started. Heck, how did he know about the Fallen and the tomb of the Primes if he was gone before that started? Though, I do like the idea of him slowly losing his mind while wandering in the desert for 18 bazillion years. -------------------- |

Though, I do like the idea of him slowly losing his mind while wandering in the desert for 18 bazillion years. I expect the next part will help to resolve some of those problems. As I recall, the Jetfire/Fallen issues formed a two-part story - there's plenty of chances for the old codger to get caught up. That said, nice issue. Yay for a peek at the past, and bring on the Fallen's Tale! -------------------- William Rendfeld

Just got and read it today.
I liked it quite a bit. Seeing the Fallen get things moving was really interesting - it's kind of strange that his brothers gave him a second chance. There were plotholes opened - Jetfire asks The Fallen how he already knew about the next star/planet to go to - he asks because he knows that only Seekers have the capability to get there and back. So either The Fallen has another Seeker working for him (entirely likely, but why does he then need to send Jetfire there?) or he's found some way to get around relying on the Seekers. I hope we get an answer to this in the next issue. Also, you'd think that Jetfire would go one a few more trips killing stars for the Fallen before being betrayed by him/left for dead. I guess the fact that he was already "working" for The Fallen for some unknown amount of time (apparently just one solar recharge of the Allspark can last for 1,000 years) kind alleviates this. Looking forward to issue 4. -------------------- ![]() |

Now, the question is: Will comic Jetfire be anything like movie Jetfire, or will he just be Generic Old Flying Guy? And it turns out to be pretty much the latter. This one was pretty much "writing by numbers". And the coloring was awful.
