Ohhhh MAN that makes no sense. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif)
Primax 406.3 Eta would be the Kiss Players radio play universe, while Tyran 407.1 Beta is.... something from the live-action universe that was released on April 1st 2007 in tech specs? -------------------- |

Hmm... Not sure I quite follow the stream-jumping bit at the begining. Are those designations actual preexisting multiversal streams or random Takara creations? Sound kinda fake...
Not sure I really follow why the game/deal is being set up either. As for the rest, Ultra Magnus vrs. Legions of Decepticons? Sounds like Megs and Prime are gonna play the old Famicom video game. Heh, I've played that, Ultra Magnus better get ready to die... a lot. This post has been edited by ZacWilliam1: Oct 13 2009, 12:10 PM -------------------- |

They're not pre-exsiting *designators*, but they use all the existing terminology to describe existing dimensions. QUOTE Not sure I really follow why the game/deal is being set up either. OH MY GOD WAIT - Bruticus, Menasor and Trypticon are the shadowed figures there, and they were the bosses in that game! And... and "maze of space loops and time tunnels"... that level that's a maze...THAT IS SERIOUSLY ACTUALLY WHAT IS HAPPENING. QUOTE Not sure I really follow why the game/deal is being set up either. These guys are more or less operating at such a godlike power level (Able to go anywhere in spacetime) that they view lesser beings as either pawns (In the case of Megatron) or someone to look out for (In the case of Convoy.) It's all a game to them; think of some of the alien species in Star Trek that would make Kirk engage in situations where his shirt would be inevitably ripped off. I can only imagine that for a Megatron, it would be an even more evil way to taunt a Prime if innocent lives are brought into play. What's the deal with the Alternity Megatrons, anyway? I know the Convoys are agglomerations of lots of different Primes/Convoys, according to the Wiki, sort of collective beings. I think a lot of the timestream technobabble is honestly to make them seem more important and powerful. Sort of like if it was set in 1995 and Megatron was taunting Prime, an American fan, with information about Masterforce. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif) Edit: SNERK...the video game? That's awesome! This post has been edited by Ataru: Oct 13 2009, 12:18 PM -------------------- BRB |

Seriously, this went from 'oddity' to 'amazing' in like 30 seconds. Explaining the Mystery of Convoy video game as a game between Alternity Prime and Megs? EFFING BRILLIANT. -------------------- |

Not to diminish anyone's efforts, but the English in that translation is really awkward.
Every once in a while, Takara amazes me. Not that the story makes much sense overall, but tying it back to the old NES game is fantastically ridiculous. |

Hehe, all it needs is an old sonic style "Play the game to see what happens next!" blurb at the end.

That's Hirofumi Ichikawa for you, an excellent artist and a brilliant writer (I'm presuming he wrote both Alternity Comics in addition to illustrating them, as is customary in Japan).

Huge kudos to those that translated this and posted it. Very cool. No slight to that work meant at all, but the translation is a bit stillted and awkward in a few places. That happens frequently in translation, where clarity in translating the meaning of words has come at the cost of the natural rythm and unstillted manner in which people actually talk.
I was bored and had some free time, so I figured, why not... here's my quick and messy (didn't bother to font match or spell check) attempt at a smoother more naturally flowing read without loosing meaning: (IMG:http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/th.ef1dd43db5.gif) (IMG:http://www.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/th.be7fcc2109.gif) (EDIT:There. fixed the links...) Yeah, Ichikawa seems to be having even more fun with Alternity than he did with Binaltech.
