This may be more an issue of personal preference that objective design, but I was really hoping that you were going to smooth down the sculpted detail of the crotch-plating, forearms, and knees. The head and chest are very much the smooth and detail-less aesthetic of the G1 cartoon model, which is great. But it kind of kills the effect to have the rest of the combining kibble be relatively over-detailed. It clashes.

Also, the arms continue to seem too long, but we've already discussed that. I like that you went with predominantly black for the forearms though, as it balances out the color scheme nicely.

Someone should paint a ROTF Devastator green.

That's a really nice custom though.

i did try the arms purple but it seemed abit overkill. also i did try to shave down the waist pieces but i felt once i did it that he kinda lost something...so i went back to the drawing board on that one.
i kinda understand what you mean about the arms but from what i have seen it appears everyone else uses the same method as i have with the arms aside from 1 person who heavy modded cybertron metroplex's arms with unicron fists attached to them

also reload someone HAS repainted rotf dev all green and it looks abit stupid when all the bots are seprate and it makes him look more of a cave troll than anything else

Just Wait, That will be Hasbro's Surpreme release for 2010.

wow what a suprise your being a dick about my customs again

also how are the legs OUTA WACK? is it just because i didnt repaint him 100% green and stick poor stickers on him?

he uses the exact SAME METHOD everyone else has used to make the custom devastators aside from Ptivte who used energon combiner ports on his deavy and heres some pics to show it. seriously you gona stop being an ass in my threads? this is what? 3rd time now?

as u can see in comparisson pics the fists usually go around about the knee sections even if u do the heavy mods with the cyb metroplex arms and suprise suprise! everyone uses the same methods for the legs.
Seriously unless you can actually show me YOUR attempt at this dont go around insulting others custom works, ffs your ment to be a mod so act like one because thats OUTA WACK (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-primal.gif)

He's not attacking you. Relax.

He's saying that the proportions for the limbs are off compared to the rest of the body. The legs noticeably too short, while the arms are still too long. Nothing was said about paint or the stickers.

Seriously TGoS, I think you are too sensitive about criticism. I know you put A LOT of hard work into this figure--it does show--but Cheets was simply pointing out an obvious flaw. Now you can do two things, take the criticism and try to improve the figure, or ignore it because you like it how it is. Honestly, it's YOUR custom. It really doesn't matter what others think as long as you like it. However, here in Iacon, we do fully support users criticizing posted work, as long as its constructive criticism. Like it or not, that's what Cheet's posted; he stated what it was that made the figure look odd to him. Had he just said "it sucks" then yes, it would have been an insult and you'd have cause for getting upset. He didn't. He tried to help. So take the criticism, or ignore it, and move on.

Not everything is an attack. If I wanted to be a dick everyone in this thread would know it.
Now chill with the nonsensical rants. The world isn't out to get you but if you keep kicking and screaming at everyone in your path it probably will be.

if it is a flaw on mine then i guess everyone elses custom devastator must be a flaw as well then because i pretty much followed the exact same blueprints as everyone elses aside from using a modded headyload like some people choose to do because he is more secure than energon barricade

and again as various images shown from OTHER peoples devastators i have followed the same blueprints. only massive difference mine has is that i use a custom g1 cartoon chest plate

Except the pictures you are posting show limbs that are in proper proportion to eachother. Just as they have smaller chest chunks and smaller heads whereas yours has a large head and chestplast, small torso, really long arms and short lower legs.

wow still being a dick? again open your eyes! its the way the pictures are taken. My chest shield is roughly the same lengh as all the others! also if you notice the arm are cut in the EXACT same places as all the others aside from the metroplex modded arms which are actually longer than the primus arms. also notice the head is actually the same size as supreme starscreams head so again ...how is it to small or too large? i suppose you think ptitives devastator or anyone elses who has used that mould for the head MUST be crap as well then

seriously unless i see you do a version please do not comment in this thread cheets.your ment to be an adult and a mod ffs! your role ISNT to give people crap about something i doubt you could even begin to make and its wierd how really your the ONLY 1 giving me crap about this when on seibertron and on and the other forums i dont seem to be getting this kind of bs from someone who is ment to be a mod.

again im sorry if your STILL sore about the whole classics wheeljack thing but i just think mine did look better than yours.Granted you made a good head from sunstreakers but that still gave you no right to CLOSE/REMOVE my thread of my classics wheeljack just because you figured yours was better. In my opinion it was a good head you made but not so good body as he was just simply all white with afew red/green lines. You should have finished him.
You being sore about the wheeljack thing DOESNT give you the right to give me BS in my thread about something i doubt you could even begin to make.Unless you actually try to make this i dont think you should even go around critasing people who atempt this, how about we see your version yeah??

also USE YOUR EYES as again you will notice that all the devastators arms when folding down reach the knee sections which is why all these devastators have had there pictures taken with the arms bent up at an angle. The metroplex arms reach even longer. Also other people have used Ptitives Dev head and it IS the same size as supreme starscream head...so how is that smaller or larger? i have spoken to EVERYONE who made these customs because i asked for peoples blueprints on how to make this figure so please tell me how is mine wrong when i have followed everyone elses exact same pieces/parts/layout
only diffenerce mine has is i think im the only one to use the g1 cartoon head and shield combo as only 1 person makes the shield and has stopped doing it because Hasbro warned him about repro-ing it

Wow.
Heh.

*I never closed your thread.
*I'm not sore about your Wheeljack as I don't give a damn about it. I've made the exact same comment in other Wheeljack threads.
*Telling someone they can't comment unless they do better is extremely childish.
*You've called me names twice now. How many times have I done that to you?
*I have no interest in making a custom Devastator. I'd rather work on all the oother projects I have on my table, most oof which I keep to myself because I'm like that.
*giving honest crits isn't giving you crap. Get over yourself.

Weird to have to close a thread in Iacon because someone can't keep from attacking another user and staying on topic, and yet, here we are.
