Slightly off-topic, but there wasn't another VMA thread on the board: Man, I was really enjoying Lady Gaga the entire evening. Her clothing choices were WAY out there, and it made my heart sing to see such figural ballsiness. That woman has taken 'weird' and turned it into a STRENGTH. I admire her sense of humor about all it, too: she's willing to do silly things in the name of fun, like the smooches with Kermit the Frog before the show. How FUN is that?! I'm not afraid to say that I like Lady Gaga.
Her lyrics might not be particularly deep or meaningful, but I don't care. Her music is fun, fun to sing along with when you're driving or cleaning your house, and her sheer outrageousness makes her fun to watch. You are always wondering what she might wear or do next. She has outright admitted she considers her public persona to be performance art. I can't imagine how hard it would be to maintain that kind of artificial persona in front of everyone so much of the time, but I also can't lie, she's an entertainer who I think is actually entertaining. -------------------- <center>
