Folks:
I like it. It's a cool Mad Max truck, and the robot mode has a sort of lean and hungry look, which fits well with that. It almost looks like the bed is open, but I'm not sure about that. Would be cool if we can load it up with oil drums. "Scrounge" would have been a cool name, but he certainly can scatter a lot of shot around with those guns. The robot mode is very lanky - if this is a Scout, the truck mode will probably be small. That's not a bad thing at all. I like little cars. --------------------  Geocities is dead! R. I. P. I don't mind the fake vehicle mode kibble on his chest. Its as good as any other robotic chest design IMO.
But I do dislike the bland grey plastic they use. Its a real turn off. -------------------- |

Is that grey plastic paintable? 'Cause with some touch-ups and a dark wash he'd be pretty cool (silver/gunmetal for the undercarriage parts, and maybe some red for the Gears homage, and a dark wash over everything to bring out the detail).

It's the exact same layout he's had since he was shown at SDCC. Surprise, he's not metallic! Oh wait, that's not a surprise, Hasbro's Photoshop artists do it every time. The upcoming Voyager Prime redeco looks like crap too, but it sure cleans up nice on the box art!

I don't think its a loss of metalic that isdisapointing, but the color gray they chose being just so bland and doesnt work well with his other colors.

Wish they'd transformed the legs correctly. I'm absolutely certain those plow halves fold up on the shins.
I'm guessing we'll be seeing concept art of this guy as drawn up for the movie, because those faux vehicle parts on the robot mode (the truck front halves sculpted into the chest) don't show up on movie guys designed originally by Hasbro as opposed to ILM designs being interpreted by Hasbro.
