I'm eager to see what "snipering" is and why Perceptor is so interested in it.

Perceptor's story sounds like crap already, but I look forward to some good ol' RocheKup.

I don't see why Perceptor needed to give up science to be a sniper.

He can't do both for what reason now? I guess all will be told in that issue.

In the IDW-verse when a Transformers is near death they are presented with two doors.

The first, with "Optimus wuz here" crudely carved into the center, is the "return to life the exact same as you were before."

The second is marked simply "Snipering."

This is gonna be a strange book. Fixing one wrongheaded move while simultaneously expounding on another one.

This was left out of the OP but was in the original source, in regards to All Hail Megatron Volume 2.

Really? Breakout hit? Isn't it selling worse than Devastation?

Also, I laugh heartily at "snipering"

It worries me that Denton Tipton is writing the Perceptor story... a guy who can't even do his primary job is entrusted with another one??

About the same I believe.

I certainly wouldn't brand it a "breakout hit series" but that's marketing for you. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-primal.gif)

Issue 1 of AHM sold one copy less than issue 1 of Devastation.

And yeah, "breakout hit" is about as accurate as "Superstar artist" Pat Lee.

Yes indeed, I am less than enthused to see what Denton writes for this Perceptor story, both with the eye-rolling 'rejects science' aspect and the inability to spell the word 'sniping'.

So in 'rejecting science' does that mean he now denies the Laws of Physics, or believes the Earth is flat? Patently ridiculous notion. One can still be a scientist and temporarily suspend your practice of it for the purpose of short term military gains.

I give the hug up on this jive.

I hope you fellas aren't suggesting that comic book solicitations bend the truth to make their product sound more appealing than it really is? Because I won't have it.

I'll gonna take my new "Avengers Disassembled" trade (Marvel.com calls it a fan-favorite!) and go home.

I think this is where we'd have to agree to disagree. I quite liked The Gathering. The Ascending... not so much. And I actually continually re-read the Beast Wars Sourcebook TPB. So much so, in fact, that my original copy is starting to fall apart, so I've ordered another. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

This isn't Denton's idea- Shane alluded to this in the interview he did with Kal-El Prime.

The idea is that after his neardeath experience in Spotlight Drift, he re-evaluates things.

I know Shane originated the idea, but Denton is just running it out to its Godawful conclusion, so it seems. Maybe it's just a jive written solicit, God knows they've been screwing those up a lot lately, but still. It makes me not look forward this at all.

As long as Perceptor says "I reject your science, and substitute my own" when he picks up the sniper rifle, I'm in. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)
