Wow, Pyrovision 2Fort looks awful. I hope my video card is screwing it up, because I have a hard time believing that's the way it's supposed to look (all faded brown and blue).
The Rainbow shooter looks great though. -------------------- |

Pyrovision sadly got very old very quickly - at least for me.

I did for me as well. It was hard to focus on where you were going and doing. The bright colors were just a bit too distracting.

Sadly, same here. Right when I uncrate a strange rainblower, too.
I like some of the effects, but it's really hard to find my damage cone. -------------------- |

So do the Scorched Crates give out anything worthwhile? Because I'm not sure I want to spend $5 (so far) on the keys to open them.

Would anyone by any random chance still not have the cow mangler or righteous bison? I managed to drop both earlier and I'm looking of off-load them.

No, but the Phlogistonator has still never dropped for me, and I keep forgetting to sae up the material to craft it. So I think it's odd that the Pyromania update doesn't do a damn thing for those who play pyro. Just cosmetic stuff that looks junky. -------------------- |

I haven't tried it yet, but I can think of a few situations where the knockback flaregun might be useful Not many, albeit, but has a few uses. Shotty or regular Flaregun are probably more useful though |

Shotty or regular Flaregun are probably more useful though I'm not fond of it. After not spending a thing on the TF2 store for ages, I bought a ton of scorched keys. So I'm guessing the update was a success for Valve. Don't see very many Balloonicorns though. Never going to get that achievement. -------------------- |

Sorry I was behind on updating this thread. A lot of cool gaming stuff decided to happen right as I went on vacation. Anyway, y'all have been talking about Meet The Pyro, which is great. Did you know that the next L4D2 DLC is coming out soon? From the blog:
QUOTE Cold Stream Release June 29, 2012 - L4D Team After months *cough*year*cough* of play testing not just the Cold Stream campaign on the PC but the entire DLC consisting of Blood Harvest, Crash Course, Cold Stream, Dead Air, and Death Toll, we are ready to release on the Xbox 360. The date will be July 24th. There are some other surprises and details we will give you later but for now we just want to confirm an often requested feature. With the update going out at the same time (also for the PC), all of the mutations will be available at all times. This will allow players to choose to match into games playing Taannkk!, Gib Fest, or even a user created mutation like Confogl. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks as we get ready to launch. I like that we'll be able to play any Mutation. That's very cool. As for the rest of it? Yaaawn. It's all content that's in the game already, and the Cold Stream campaign kinda sucks. I hope Valve will pull some cool surprises out for this release, but it's a free content update; I ain't complainin' if they don't. Slanedit: Oh, yeah. The Steam Summer Sale should be starting any day now. If it happens in the next two weeks, this will be the first one I have to miss because I'm broke as hug post-vacation and don't get paid again during that time frame. I grabbed Rock of Ages for $4 on midweek madness. Adding it to LFD2, in the 'games I own but have never played' category.

The Summer Sale has begun!
Despite being dangerously broke, I spent $6 and got Legend of Grimrock. -------------------- Nobody knows what we're for only what we're against when we judge the wounded

The Summer Sale has begun! Despite being dangerously broke, I spent $6 and got Legend of Grimrock. I was going to pick that up. But as usual the first day of the sale has broken steam so the transaction wont go through. They really should make the first day of the sale 48 hours, this always happens. |

Legend of Grimrock isn't bad. It's very old school but it's still a lot of fun. Combat takes a bit getting used to though. Since the game is played in a grid fashion, you have to make sure you bottleneck yourself to avoid being surrounded.

Legend of Grimlock Spiders are EVIL AND NEED TO DIE IN FIRE.
But not the Level 2 Fire Spell. Because that doesn't kill them. EDIT: Legend of Grimrock, not Grimlock. This post has been edited by Rust: Jul 12 2012, 09:53 PM -------------------- Nobody knows what we're for only what we're against when we judge the wounded

No we want to send Grimlock down there to burn that place out, or be the final boss.

God, someone put Skyrim on sale! I don't have it for the PC. But at the same time I need to upgrade this PC and do not want to buy any more games until I do. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-screamer.gif)
