I really hope the final production version of Stormcloud is purple, black, and pale blue like that guy's picture makes it look. I already liked him, but I'd like him more with blue. I always thought those parts were just gray or silver before, but I've always been a big fan of color schemes that use purple and blue together.

I passed on this mold as Powerglide, but I think I'm going to be adding this big guy to my Con collection.

Sure took his sweet old time to finally show up in stores. BBTS had him IN STOCK for a couple weeks.

I remember that blue one from the Air Strike Patrol looked like Powerglide but that was Tailwind. Was this guy meant as homage to the Air Strike Patrol (or at least in name)? Either way, this is a nice repaint and I'll be on the lookout to get one.

I don't know if I want it or not... Powerglide didn't quite do it for me, but I did think he was cool. At any rate I'm pretty broke, but I am still interested.

Got Powerglide, want this guy for sure, not only because it's a cool figure/deco, but since I have fond memories of those late-run Micromaster-related comics from my childhood. Even though I recently got Breakaway, I'd gladly buy a Cyb Hot Shot redecoed into Roadhandler to fight this dude.

Universe is my main point of focus/excitement, TF-wise, too*, until TF2 hits.

*Why must those Animated figures also look cool! Curses! Well, for Animated, I'm at least wrapping up the main cast.

Folks:

I've got half a mind to get this and use it for Powerglide. Black seems to suit him better than white.

Whether this half is the half that controls purchasing remains to be seen. Considering that it is the impulsive half, I would suspect it isn't. The impulsive half has a varying but generally low budget. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif)

For a toy this big, I really have to have an interest in the character. I had one in Onslaught; I don't have one in poor Stormcloud.

Stormcloud for me, is one where I don't necessarily care about the character, but I like the mold and the deco enough to pick him up. The fact that he's usable for Classics bumps him up a little, too.

I think we've had enough Micromaster homages now, but it doesn't bother me Stormcloud getting a size bump to be a decent sized Transformer. A TF that's roughly the size of a human, but still transforms into an airplane, isn't that worthwhile of a concept to stick with anyway in my opinion.

I've gotta agree, it's a terrible terrible mold. Although I will say I'm glad I bought the Hasbro version instead of the Henkei like I'd originally planned, this way I only spent $20 on crap instead of $50 plus shipping. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-wildride.gif)

And before someone jumps in saying"but Powerglide is $25", I had a coupon. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-waspy.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

I like this guy. The fact that he's a micromaster doesn't mean much except that he's a legitimate G1 character, but the colors are very sharp. I like how the blue goes well with the purple but also contrasts with the yellow. And of course, I'm a bit of a sucker for the official 'Con colors; he'll go nicely with Skywarp. I just got Onslaught yesterday, and this guy will make another nice heavy Decepticon for my Classics.

I like the PG mold but for me it's too unique to work as a different character...wish I'd've waited for this. So I doubt I end up getting this guy, but if I do he may end up being PG as a traitor.
