I like the colors. Very close to the animation. The blue launchers, unpainted wheels, no gray feet detail, no shin detail, and the blue is too dark, but it's very close to his animation appearance. Hasbro is not painting the sides of the head anymore either (like Takara does so the jet mode looks better).

The colors remind me a lot of Target Movie Starscream & the US Masterpiece figure.

These pics dissuade me from wanting this version because it doesn't have the remolded bits that suggested additional parts (such as the shoulder pads) to plug on. I hope it's jut the normal version of the mold done up in the new scheme.

In short, unless this guy comes with some kind of bonus (emperoro shoulder pads/crown or a new weapon) like most of the 25th deluxes do, I'll pass. Although, he does have that painted face...

His chest looks like it could use some more paint detail.

Seeing as my Classic Starscream is old, dusty, and has a chunk of plastic that cracked off the tail fin joint, I'll probably nab this.

Is his face painted? That's something I really wanted for the original once I saw how good the faces looked on the other seekers w/paint.

He doesn't look bad, but I've no G1 cartoon loyalty, and Skywarp is enough of that mold for me. If Acid Storm isn't enough to get me to buy it again, this certainly isn't. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

I think I may get him just so I can use the original Classic Screamer as one of the Starscream look-alikes we get several times in MTMTE. Anything to increase the Seeker army. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif)

Sunstorm needs to come soon. Please Hasbro?

I'd love any of the others from the toons after that. Lavender Seeker with Flamethrower pack would be awesome as would some of the more obscure ones seen here: TF Wiki Seekers

There are very few (if any) molds I would buy endlessly in endless redecos but I think this may be the one...

Quoted for truth - going beyond all the seekers from the TF continuity, this is a damn fine mold.

Acid Storm has actually become my favorite version of the mold (not counting Ramjet), despite all odds. The colors just reallt work in person.

Well, crap. I almost kinda like the way the vehicle mode looks. And I don't want to! But damn is that robot mode boring looking. That might be just enough to keep me from caving in on this one.

Add me to the list of people who may be swayed by the painted face.

.....oh man, his side vents AREN'T painted, are they? Dammit dammit dammit... Lord knows I prefer the Classics' colors, but I really like the idea of keeping those gray...

I thought there was talk of this mold having some degradation issues?

As long as they keep making them, I'll keep buying. I'd really love a generic purple clone though.

My Acidstorm is nice and tight, so no issues that I can see. And yes I'd love to see as many generic Seekers made as long as possible! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-ironhide.gif)

First thought on seeing this was "DAMMIT I JUST GOT THE HENKEI VERSION LIKE A MONTH AGO."

Seriously. It was at a convention for a sweet cheap price (not much higher than Canadian Retail), but still. A North American release that manages to be slightly more slavishly show accurate? If they'd only announced this like a month ago I'd have held off.

Oh well. There's not enough difference here to make me get another mold.

Nice. Makes up for that garish one we got the first go round. Simple and sleek. And the few details, like the knee vents, left off can be easily painted on.

Craaaaaap.

I don't need to buy this toy!

But...it looks too good, so I probably will.

Geez. Way to go, Hasbro. Making a damn near perfect toy. AGAIN.
