From Yahoo Auctions. The backing card is reportedly the same as Starscream's, just like Thundercracker.

Skywarp is too beautiful.

Classics vs Henkei

(IMG:http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y215/PoweredConvoy/1221833586963.jpg)

I have a hard time choosing which one I like more as they both have things that I prefer on them. It isn't as cut and dry as some others are (Convoy, Grimlock, Ligier, Astrotrain).

I like HenKei 'Warp better. The purple is more subdued AND more G1 accurate. You can't go wrong!

I like the purple more as well.

It's funny. I like the new stripes on the Classics one, but I like the more vintage style stripes as well. At first the silver chest center on the Classics one bothered me, now it looks weird not being painted. I like the Classics purple but prefer the new one.

I prefer the black nose cone and painted thrusters (the original Classics mockup of Skywarp had silver thrusters - and other extra details). The silver launchers still make me wonder why they are silver instead of black or purple. I'm thinking it was to get more silver on the figure perhaps, or maybe the TakaraTomy deco artist looked at a picture of Skywarp from the animation with Starscream colored launchers on him. I don't like the "notches" in the corners of the wing stripes. It bugged me on Starscream and Thundercracker, but it really bothers me here.

Better to have notches that closely follow the molding detail than the ones that are on Classics Thundercracker IMO. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif)

Eh, I don't mind them not following the molding lines. It looks good on Henkei Convoy, sure, but here I much rather prefer the paint design taking priority over a little tiny line in the plastic. Especially since designs on real planes aren't bound by where the metal plates join together. But that may just be me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif)
