I was hoping for something like this just yesterday. Except in my hopes, Unicron was repainted to looks more like his G1 self. Maybe they STILL have a jiveload left over from Armada?

Weird. Seems like Retailers would run screaming from this guy at this point. But then again all that movie toys money probably makes them more forgiving.

And it really has been five years since it was first released, so it does seem like a reasonably smart item to release to kids and collectors sucked in by the movie, Animated, Classics, whatever. |

Why does all of the universe box art make it look like the subject's whole body is leaning backwards?

I still have my Unicron from Armada... But I changed out the red LED for a green one. Soldering guns are your friends! (Just don't grab them at the business end. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif) ) Also, I painted some silver around his helmet to look more traditional.
My guess is Hasbro still had a boat load of these in storage, thus no new paint schemes. -------------------- |

Now this is nice. I don't own the original, it's well past time I'd ever find it on clearance in stores, and ebay prices are ridiculous. I'm actually happy, as I'll get a shot at owning it (a friend had it back in the day, so I know it's a good mold)

I sincerely hope this is the final version. That way, people who weren't alive or interested back in 2003 can have a Unicron of their own, and I don't have to feel like there's a superior version to the Armada one.

I could see myself getting it if they gave it a repaint making it more similar to the G1 version. Otherwise no thanks already have the Armada and energon versions.

Interesting that there is a Universe Supreme class though. Possibility for future new molds, or just made up for a few rereleases of important characters? Now I just need to hope it actually comes out here, unlike Classics Devastator |

Dang. If they were rereleasing it, why couldn't they have given it a more accurate colour scheme. Even the transparent-to-grey plastic switch mentioned above would have been welcomed.
Oh well, I guess i'll be waiting for the properly G1 coloured Henkei version (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif) I wonder what they'll chrome on him, maybe his jaws? Awesome. |

all of the universe boxart of looking to the side with a look of 'dull surprise' is starting to kill me. i'm almost dying to see what ironhide's looks like. it would be great if some kind of being with some form of comedic comic strip on the internet could put even more effort into mocking it, or devote a comic or blog entry to it *coughdavidwilliscough*
