Hi, guys! Just wanted to let everyone know that the second wave of Fast action Battlers have hit stores in the states. I got my Frenzy today and went back a few hours later to get the rest. Megatron was gone. Anyways here's a pic for proof.

Is this the only Frenzy toy we're getting aside from the little one that came with Barricade?

Cool, I'm at least getting Frenzy since he probably won't get another transforming toy. Blackout is tempting though, because his helicopter mode is adorable. For some reason I'm getting more tempted to pick up the FABs for the Decepticons.

I hope Frenzy isn't hard to find, as I have a lot of interest in him.
The other two....dunno, might pick up Blackout. -------------------- |

Can you take a couple of pictures of the Blackout FAB for me? I like Blackout, Ironhide, and Ratchet but because of storage constraints, I don't think I'll be able to get all three Voyager sized versions. I don't like Ratchet and Ironhide's FAB, so that leaves Blackout as the only likely cantidate. Besides, from the Botcon pictures, his FAB gimmick looked kinda cool.

I'm torn between the FAB Megatron, or the Leader Class version. With a little paint, that Fusion Blast Megs could be one sweet toy.

Blackout is actually about the same size as the voyager version, he's just more simplified, with more "kiddie" features in robot mode and a squished, "chibi" helicopter mode.
Frenzy is awesome, despite the understandable limitations to the robot mode, the transformation and CD player alt mode are both fantastic. -------------------- "The very purpose of religion is to control yourself, not to criticize others. Here are a few quick comparison shots for the Blackout toys.
To sum it all up, no, I wouldn't get the FAB Blackout because of thinking it'll store better. Other than some cuteness, the voyager version does everything better. -------------------- "The very purpose of religion is to control yourself, not to criticize others. I find it kind of funny that a Fast Action Battler looks far better than an actual deluxe with a very similar alt mode from a previous line, namely Armada Cyclonus.
And this thread is in dire need of some Frenzy pics. This post has been edited by Alpha Omega Trion Supreme: Jul 14 2007, 01:54 PM |

That becomes even more apparent with Armada Hot Shot vs. FAB Bumblebee, who is gorgeous.

I just can't get into FAB's. Don't get me wrong, I think they are great! A wonderful way to get younger kinds into Transformers with simple transformations that their parents won't give up on half way through and the toy sits in the kid's toy box half transformed for the rest of its existance. I just perfer the more complex toys myself. The detail is better and the transformation are more complex. As a 35 year old transfan, that's what I'm looking for.

I found Frenzy and Blackout today, grabbed them both. I was hesitant on Blackout, but his face is really nice and I like the chibi helicopter look. Blackout's ok, but what I was really excited about was Frenzy.
Frenzy's extremely cool and complex for a FAB. I mean, of course I'd love something closer to the movie design, but ya know, you take what you can get, and he's pretty nice. Forms a nice compact radio that locks together good and folds out into a little monster of destruction. -------------------- |

One neat thing about FAB Blackout is that he's got a swing-down cannon that represents the chest blaster that flips out of his chest when he targets Epps in the movie. He'll still never really work in the main movie line, but it's a nifty extra.

QUOTE(Gizmoboy @ Jul 14 2007, 07:52 PM) I just can't get into FAB's. Don't get me wrong, I think they are great! I said I wasn't going to get them, but I kind of gave in and bought a few now. I'm mainly just interested in the Decepticons since the Autobot figures kind of bore me, I guess I was just hungry for more movie related stuff. As a former Playskool Go-Bots junkie, it's understandable. Some of the autotransformation and flipchanging they do is kind of fun. Hell, I wouldn't even say Frenzy is much like a FAB, he's got some smallish or delicate parts, and a mildly complex transformation. For anyone with Starscream, is he always supposed to be looking down at his own chest, or is mine "off" by a couple of gears? This post has been edited by J.
