First two fixes.
Wreckage torso fix: This fix is to keep his chest from automorphing up after you've transformed him. Basically you make a connector between the bottom of his chest and the top of the gun that protrudes. Drill a small hole and insert/glue a plastic peg. Drill a hole on the top of the gun that lines up with the peg. Hold gun after automorphing and push the chest down, it stays in place now. (IMG:http://www.angelfire.com/mech/jinsaotome/WreckFix.jpg) Brawl shoulder fix: This fix keeps Brawls arms from swinging down after transforming him. Locate the tabs on the side of the tank turret. Drill/file a groove in the top of them. Locate the holes they snap in to and drill a groove towards the back of the figure. You can add some superglue to the opposite surface of both parts to make sure the grooves sit snugly together after you join them. (IMG:http://www.angelfire.com/mech/jinsaotome/BrawlFix.jpg) More fixes will be added as I make them. This post has been edited by Jin Saotome: Jul 10 2007, 05:01 PM -------------------- |

I didnt even know there was a problem with Wreckages' chest automorphing.
Thanks for the tip on brawl tho, the glue trick was working for a while but now its wearing off, i might have to attempt this and see what happens. -------------------- |

Looking at Wreckage, I'm assuming that swinging the minigun up behind his chest cannon was supposed to lock the whole thing in place. And it would, if the minigun actually clicked into place as well. Whoops.

And it would, if the minigun actually clicked into place as well. Whoops. Yeah, maybe they just forgot to put a peg there. I can wedge something behind the gun to keep it in place but there's still a gap between his chest and stomach gun so this fix will take care of that. -------------------- |

One thing I was thinking about...the way the sides of the front swing to the back, they have little grooves to fit into the detailing at the back of the vehicle. If that had been turned into a peg system, it'd be perfect and completely unobtrusive in both modes.

New fix, more of a modification really. Really tho, Booster has a piece of 'spinning meat' for his neck is, two swivel joints that do the same thing. You can probably go the extra step and add a joint in there so his head turns too, but this fix allows for full up/down movement to mimic how the old Laserbeak's head worked.
First, locate an old Doc Ock spiderman movie figure. Kaybee always has them on clearance. The bendy tentacles or grabbing tentacle figure, either one has the right sized lower claws. The big ones are the one you want and these things are great for fodder, you could make Jazz or Starscream hands easy from the leftover parts. Anyway, pop apart Booster's neck and discard the middle section. Cut the peg off of the head flush. Next, cut the Doc Ock finger claw as shown in the picture. Measure it up and you'll find the center part is the EXACT same length as Booster's old neck. Glue the plug-end of the claw into his neck hole, then glue his head on to the other end. Now Booster can look straight down, or up and forward. (IMG:http://www.angelfire.com/mech/jinsaotome/Booster_X10.jpg) Obviously Booster has been repainted to look like Laserbeak, he comes red in the store, heh. I'll have a full pic set of 'Laserbeak' in the Iacon art gallery soon. This post has been edited by Jin Saotome: Jul 10 2007, 05:16 PM -------------------- |

Another fantastic job. I was looking through your site and I love your "ninja" Wreckage. I didn't even know his weapons combined like that! Great job overall.
