Just blew almost $400 to get a couple you-will-never-procreate figures; Proxima and Altlene. Was saving to get MP10, but now that that's getting a domestic release, I thought 'Oh, hell, why not.'

Of course, the only ones listed 'In stock!' were exclusive repaints (And with a little research, it seems this damn line is nothing BUT exclusive repaints...!), which went out-of-stock the instant I clicked BUY.

Skipping the $100 recharging beds which are nothing but a thin shell and a single USB light, though.

Didn't used to be that way, but interest in the line has dropped way off since its initiation. Konami's pretty much keeping it on life support now, with maybe a pair of mass-market releases each year, and a bunch of web-shop exclusive redecoes of the same.

And yet, despite the lack of demand for the line, secondary market prices for the back catalogue are through the roof...

Almost wants to make me sell my collection, but dunno what the value of loose ones are.

Still, now I get a knight, a horsie(ish) for her to ride, and soon I shall post pictures of them tilting at table fans.

Any advice concerning the care and feeding of one's new desktop adorable warmongers, though?

Even though I never got to try it, sad that the Battle Rondo thing is gone. The whole 'you aren't buying a toy, you're adopting a pint-sized engine of destruction' concept kind of made the concept click.

So, it's kinda like how Microman was?

It's like a cross between an unarmored Evangelion and those monsters from Garo. According to the website, it's only available for the Hideaki Anno special effects festival and the Good Smile online shop. So it' an exclusive.

Also, can anybody help me with the issue I mentioned at the bottom of the previous page?

Busou Shinki! It's like Microman, yet somehow equal parts adorable and slightly skeezy.

I'd love to help, but I have no clue what the problem is. My Saber is capable of coming apart at the waist (unlike most Figma), but the balljoint itself is snug.

On the topic of Busou Shinki, my favourites are totally Graffias and Vespelio. Dark Elf chick and cute vampire girl, whose armour respectively reconfigure into a robot scorpion and bat, which can combine into a goddamned staff-wielding dragon made of Gundam Heavyarms-style missile batteries. The only downside to that pair is that they don't use the smoother looking 2.0 bodies.

Altrene is very cool, though. Love that regal-looking robo-Valkyrie armour. It's kinda neat that all the translucent blue armour covers are removable, suggesting a "powered-down" state or something, with forcefield generators activating in battle.

I'd think my most frivolous purchase from the line would be springing for the massive ~$350 PSP Battle Masters (a game I'll never play) set, just to get the Arnval and Strarf MKII figures. Although, seeing as how the secondary market value hovers around that much for just one of the pair, I'm certainly glad I sprung for the set right then and there.

But now, with support for the line being significantly reduced, and new releases being quite expensive compared to the original sets, I find my continued interest in the line dwindling. But I'm glad to have gotten the figures that I did. They're pretty fun.

Kinda sad that the Busou Shinki line seems to be winding down, though I did stop buying them several years ago. I think my last one was Asuka. I really need to dig 'em out and reassemble the group. I think they're scattered through a few toy bins in my closet.
I do remember that Graffias and Vespelio were coming out right around the time I stopped buying them, and they were some that I regretted not buying (along with Pomock and the chopstick girl).
If I'm remembering right, I have Strarf(first version), Waffebunny (usually just use Starf's body for the set), Maochao, Asuka, Tigris, and Vitulus.
Guess I can finally delete the Battle Rondo stuff.

Which line had robo-scorpion and robo-bat armour that combined into a missile-laden Dragon mage again? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-waspy.gif)

I had fun putting Achilles together. Sure, there are lots of stickers, but they're nice and big and easy to place. Also, building itself is so easy! And the kits are cheap too.

(IMG:http://i46.tinypic.com/2vljyo1.jpg)

I also ordered Pandora, not sure if she'll be as good but we'll see.

awesome tell me how he goes. I've been putting him off ordering him for way too long.

I just finished The Emperor the other night and he was a nice build not many stickers. however his joints need a bit of coating to stay in.
Got Achilles, Zenon and Ifrit to do now

also Pandora is a good build but there is a few annoying stickers but still over all a good kit.
