I found a single Guzzle at the Walmart in Warsaw, NY. No Dark Sentinel Primes, no Hatchets. Just Guzzle and almost a dozen Battle Steel Optimuses. -------------------- |

Is Hatchet rare? I saw one today but passed on it for now.

Is Hatchet rare? I saw one today but passed on it for now. No. He's pretty plentiful. It just struck me as odd that both he (a repack from the previous wave) and Dark Sentinel Prime (a kinda lazy repaint) seemingly sold before Guzzle did. You like him? He does have a lot of movie-styled detailing, but I don't think that will dissuade me. Freakin' Guzzle, man. |

He is a bit over-detailed for a Classics figure, but since he's a Cyberverse Commander, he's small enough to overlook most of it. Also, I think he's the first Cyberverse Commander with a rotating head. Well, it kinda wiggles 5 degrees from side to side... -------------------- |

Coooool. Sculpted detail on these things sure has come a long way.
He's tiny. I knew he'd be tiny, he's supposed to be tiny, and yet I see the pics and go "Whoa. Tiny." Weird. This post has been edited by Strafe: Aug 22 2011, 04:26 PM |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-waspy.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-arcee.gif) I didn't know he was new! That'll teach me to ignore the sightings forum. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-waspy.gif) I like to pretend his little missle launcher is the Weird Brain Bullet Pistol from Last Stand when he's in robot mode. I like him! He is a bit over-detailed for a Classics figure, but since he's a Cyberverse Commander, he's small enough to overlook most of it. He's....not a classics toy. Anyway, I got mine a week ago; there was just one at the WM and one Dark Sentinel; I hid it for other local collectors. Guzzle's pretty nice, and one of the few toys I've gotten ahead of the distribution curve (I've still never seen Voyager Sentinel). -------------------- |

He's not a Classics toy and he'll have some (minor) issues fitting in with them on your shelf, but he's by no means on the overly detailed end of the spectrum when it comes to movie toys. Because let's be honest: we all want this toy to be our Wreckers Guzzle, rather than some generic off-screen movie nobody. Glad to see that will be workable for me. -------------------- ![]() |

I don't have him in front of me, but I'm fairly sure Megatron's head is ball-mounted. Also, Shockwave's moves Megatron's neck is a hinge, not a ball joint. So there's no rotation. Just "folding". Shockwave so far is just an Action Trailer. And yes, that's exactly what I meant by that comment, Shattered. He's DotM, but most people have been saying that they're going to use him as a Classics figure. And while images online make the toy look like he's just WAY too detailed to fit, in person, it's not too terrible at all. If Cyberverse Commander Powerglide is on your Classics shelf, then you probably won't have too much trouble putting Guzzle right there next to him. -------------------- |

Meanwhile my Target and Walmart are both filled with the first wave, mostly Optimus and Sentinel warming the shelves, but it looks like all of them aren't really moving.
I guess I'll have to him my TRU which I never go to. -Edit- Too much negativity. Guzzle looks great, I'm so surprised he's actually smaller then the original in tank mode and the movie detailing doesn't bother me since I just mix figures anyway. Also found last night! I feel pretty darn lucky now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif)
As to the figure (Minus my LSotW Fanboyishness), he's a good CVC figure I suppose. I only have Hatchet and Powerglide to compare with. I am not sure if it is a molding issue or QC, but his arm ball joints are absurdly tight and just misaligned enough that it makes locking his turret together a real chore. Posing his arms is similarly challenging, but at the end of the cycle, I will forgive a lot of this little guy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif) Now, can we get him in a Deluxe mold? -------------------- Clearing out some old TFs and Mugenbine in my BST Thread. I need to pick up this guy. I really don't collect Cyberverse figure but Hatchett, Powerglide, Guzzle are musts.
Speaking of which... how rare is Hatchett? I haven't seen him very often out there. -------------------- ![]() |

Could you provide some pics of him with other Wreckers? Which others would you suggest? I might be able to shoot something when I get home later. @Hatchet: He seems to be uncommon. I've only seen 3, bought 1, but then, with the horrific distribution (stores fault) and the glut of wave 1s, he may as well be ultra rare like most TFs people want these days. -------------------- Clearing out some old TFs and Mugenbine in my BST Thread. Hatchet isn't that rare, I see him fairly regularly, although maybe not in huge numbers. He might just be selling better than the Cyberverse Prime redeco with the swords, plus it sounds like he's in at least two case assortments.
I should check my Wal-Mart, they had a lone Commander class Megatron on the peg for some reason after they moved the toy aisles around, so they should maybe be ripe for putting out a new case. -------------------- "Wise men profit more from fools than fools from wise men; for the wise men shun the mistakes of fools, but fools do not imitate the successes of the wise." - Cato the Elder "Majority rule only works if you're also considering individual rights.
