I'm sure I can swap the forearms with my spare Prowl. That won't be a problem.

I do really wish Hasbro would've just cast the toy in blue using paint to apply red where needed. The thing I hated about Universe Smokescreen was the abundance of red. I liked G1 and Alt Smokescreen because they were more blue (especially the Alt) which I think looks great coupled with the gold/yellow detailing. The red is just too much. We already have so many red autobots already. We need more blue guys.

As long as Dinobot has nice poseable arms and a good sword, I don't foresee myself having any problems with him.

Ssv:

I require more. He must have a "rotate blade".

His bio must contain some remark about his grill structure.

Obviously, Hasbro can't afford to lose my $10, so I don't think they'll disappoint.

(They did come through with the Chaingun of Doom, and that awesome BW10 Waspinator bio. Of course, I never got around to picking up more than Rattrap; there was too much other neato stuff out at the time.)

On Rhinox's reissue, they named his weapon as such.

Oh. I thought they might've maybe retooled it to BE a chaingun of doom...

The abundance of red is because he doubles as a Rad homage. What's the problem there?

Why does he need to double as a Rad homage at all? Isn't being Smokescreen enough especially in the big 25th anniversary line release. A character that was actually in the show and had a memorable personality from the Gambler? hug Rad

Cybertron Smokescreen doubles as a Rad homage, that's enough for that character and I fail to see why that has anything to do with Universe smokescreen. I can definitely agree that he would have been a more attractive toy if the red and yellow had been used in smaller amounts.

The cover preview is now up on the main site. It has images of Smokescreen's car mode, Robot Heroes RID Prime and Megatron, Legends Cosmos and Mighty Muggs Soundwave! And a preview image for the comic.

The cover of the issue is up on their site now. http://www.transformersclub.com/

Of course, the only show Smokescreen's car mode, as MightyMugg Soundwave got most of the attention. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

Except we're talking about CYBERTRON Smokescreen, and even then - not all of us believe that only show characters and people from 1984 are the only ones deserving of focus.

I actually like Universe Smokescreen. I'm a big fan of the Nissan racing colors, and I can't wait to see Hot Shot and Dinobot.

Well I'm definitely diggin Smokescreen's car mode. All this talk of yellow in his bot mode is scaring me tho.

Stupid Question...Red Alert is just a repaint of Sunstreaker, right?

Red Alert? What?

Anyway, Smokescreen's car mode looks nicer than his robot mode. The new images of the RiD RHs look good, especially OP. I couldn't care less about Mighty Muggs, though.

He was originally a repaint of Sideswipe but since Sunstreaker and Sideswipe now share the same body *IF* we were to get a Red Alert he'd likely be a repaint of Sunstreaker/Sideswipe yes.

Once again I have to wonder who the hug likes those stupid Mighty Muggs and why they need to waste time on them when they're all the same anyway.

What's the deal with Mighty Muggs?
There is so much I do not understand.

They have a board, too.

http://mugglife.proboards57.com/

Altmode Smokescreen doesn't look so good, IMHO. I think it's because the white stripe looks odd near the wheel wells. I think it would look better if it wrapped around the front wheels and went down across the air dam. It seems a bit too wide, too.

Some sponsor decals would help. Lots of racers look funny without those.

Cosmos, on the other hand, looks GREAT.

Heh, on the Club boards, someone said he was a huge Muggs fan and thankyouthankyouthankyou for showing Muggs Soundwave... and I thought the same thing you just wrote.
