$500, plus tax, and you could have a 42" 1080p 120hz LED HDTV with a blu-ray player.

Well yeah. Why would you have canceled if you still wanted the set?

You didn't want to wait six months?

I know my girlfriend did for precisely that reason.

I can't understand getting upset over this if you weren't willing to just commit to getting the thing. The free copy of Avengers is for the people willing to wait and get the boxed set. Lord know I'm not buying ti just for Avengers.

Hm. Not terrible. Could put money away, but a new computer takes priority.

Of course, THAT might have a BluRay drive, AND a nice definition (if not HUGE) screen. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif)

Apparently the UK release has most of the extras removed and has the scene where the Agent faces Loki on the Helicarrier edited/removed.

Anyone know anything more about this?

EDIT- http://spinoff.comicbookresources.com/2012...rs-u-k-blu-ray/

So Disney's response is 'Meh, buy the US version'.

Why am I thinking of the Pimple Faced Teen mocking Bart's idea for a casino?

Which scene is this? Is it a deleted scene?

In a movie where a good chunk of NYC is destroyed, why is the spear tip censored for TEH VIOLENCE but nothing else?

IT'S NOT CENSORED!!!

It was simply removed because it was deemed inappropriate for UK audiences. Get it right.

Really?

Since when?

The gist of it seems to be that as far as Disney UK are concerned, this is a kids superhero movie and so they made the edit to avoid a higher rating and thus scaring off parents. The fact that they don't seem that bothered about addressing either issue just cements their view that really this film will mostly be bought for kids who will happy just to have the film to watch over and over.

I only have one Blu-Ray disc in my possession, and that's the Captain America Blu-Ray combo pack.

Actually, I have two. Two copies of Captain America given to me last Christmas. I never got around to returning one, and it's still sealed. Anyone want to trade for the Thor Blu-Ray combo pack? Used or not?

I already have Iron Man, Iron Man 2, The Incredible Hulk, Thor and Captain America so there is no point in getting this. I did get the Blu Ray/ DVD combo of The Avengers today at the PX and got a need coin.
