 A What If- Skylanders-style Pony game? |

Been meaning to post about this for a week now. We've had the Skylanders starter set on display, which prompted one co-worker to say it looked very boy centric. Another offered that they'd likely bring out a 'My Little Pony' or similar themed version for girls.
Now, I highly doubt either of them knew of the sheer cult that has developed around Friendship is Magic (nor seemingly that plenty of little girls ask us about the Skylanders figures too) but it got me thinking about if such a game existed. Set in Equestria with various show baddies to compete against, unlocking extra characters as you buy more. Any thoughts? -------------------- |

If it were done right then it could be brilliant. Show-accurate figurines and a videogame that properly captures the feel of the show would be awesome. If they could make a game that, like the show, can appeal to everyone then they'd be onto a winner for sure. If they go into it thinking "MLP is for little girls, let's make it just for little girls" then I fear it would end up being like those Barbie games and such (ie "girly girly", dumbed down and full of pink).

I don't think the character designs of MLP really vary enough to warrant a video game in the style of Skylanders.
