I can't imagine what applied four years ago applies today; the market's changed a bit.

ETERNAL PUNISHMENT TO THESE MORTALS IF THEY DARE SPARE SHOKARACT A RAMJET.

Aren't you supposed to be not existing right now?

SHOKARACT DOES NOT RETURN UNIVERSE'S PHONE CALLS.

For some reason I read both these posts in Lrrr's (ruler of Omicron Persei 8) voice.

It's very good to hear Japan's getting it, I do shutter after thinking about the dubbing they gave Beast Wars and what they could do to Animated, but I also think Animated has enough silly moments that they wouldn't need to.

After 8 months of sitting on my DVR I finally watched Endgame, I don't know why I waited that long, but it was awesome! I'd love to someway get more whether it's Direct to Video or if it does really well in Japan we get another season from them (Just as long as Isenberg and Wyatt have lots of involvement in it).

Toy wise, I can hope for Sari, but I doubt it. At the least I'd love at least an Activators Slipstream, and I saw on 2005 maybe they'd make Wasp with a new head.

EDIT - and for the record? Editing out parts of episodes for time in the TV airing?

WE DO THAT TOO.

You missed the point. Those edits weren't made so the series could fit Japanese TV timeslots. Those edits were made because Takara wanted longer opening and ending songs. They cut a minute and a half of footage from each episode to accomodate "WE HOPE THE ONLY WOOOORRRRLLLLD!"

Because in Japan, they value J-pop over content, apparently.

Are you saying you don't hope the only world?

I usually love the Japanese opening and closing themes for Transformers, so hear hear to more of that.

I think it's safe to say at the very least, the toys will get paint jobs and plastic colors that are more show accurate.

They renamed Bulkhead "Ironhide"?

Wacky.

So if Bulkhead is now Ironhide, then what are they going to call Ironhide over there? You know...the guy drawn to look like Ironhide?

Also, it seems they're keeping this based on the intial 3 episodes which only really feature those characters.

Wouldn't be the first time Japan has randomly named someone "Ironhide" then looked really silly later on.

Ha.

I guess can see why they did it for Animated. They wanted the main characters to all share names with the main Movie Autobots and all that.

But it won't take long for a guy who looks like G1 Ironhide and can turn his hide into iron to show up...and then what're they gonna do?

Oh. Right. Name him "Roadbuster".

This gives me hope that their Animated figures will feature more accurate colors, maybe glossy plastic, and extra paint apps.

What would be the advantage of glossy plastic?
