Back when I had my first X360, pre-E74, I had downloaded Operation: Anchorage and The Pitt for Fallout 3. At the time, my son was able to play these add-ons on his user account (we both had Silver accounts). After the E-74 issue, I bought a second X360 and transplanted hard drives. Now, I can still play the add-ons, but my son no longer can. Was there some change at some point that prevents this? Or is something messed up on my system? Do I need to call Microsoft?

Any help is appreciated.

I had the same problem, and the MS method of re downloading it didn't work. Now my son can only play Castle Crashers on my account or if I'm logged in and we do multiplayer...

supposedly you can use this: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemus...ion/default.htm But I haven't had a chance to try it out.

Just tried it, even ran it against both of our accounts, and he still does not seem to be able to use the add-ons. Thanks anyway

After you ran it with your account did you redownload the expansions? If you do it should work.

No, I didn't. I'll go try that.

Edit: Bingo! That did it! Thanks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif)

MS also has a tool somewhere on their website to let you recert all the bought stuff on your account to the new unit. I used it after i got back my latest replacement from their revolving graveyard they call a repair center. Unfortunately i found out about it /after/ I tried to play braid and it subsequently erased my savegame because it thought it was a demo and not the full game I already bought.

Yeah.. guess im gladnow i never botherd getting all the stars.

How it basically works is content is attached to both your account and your xbox, thusly the content needs to either be on the Xbox that the content was purchased on, or the account the content was purchased with needs to be actively online to use the content.

MS later made available the tool to allow you to reassign what Xbox the content is attached to (as was mentioned earlier in the thread.)
