From Twitter. The Fan club has put up a brief blurb about the (to be slightly late) April issue and to counter that slight lateness has shown off a whole page of the Comic for that issue. Cliffjumper and his G2 troops. Funny dialogue. Great, expressive art. Looks like a lot of fun. -ZacWilliam, this'll be my firs issue of the Mag. Can't wait for it to hit. Well, you could've put up a link...
http://www.transformersclub.com/ Or here it is directly, because for some reason the club's pop-up windows don't let you scroll to see the whole thing. http://www.transformersclub.com/_images/cj_page.jpg -------------------- ![]() |

Who's on the art for this again? I'm digging the expressiveness.

Cliffjumper seems a little too expressive for my liking.

Cliffjumper seems a little too expressive for my liking. Indeed, while it matches his Tech Specs just fine, it's hard to reconcile this behavior with anything from his cartoon appearances (on the other hand, it may just be that he had so few). -------------------- |

How is this not just "Cliffjumper from Traitor turned up to the Nth degree"?

How is this not just "Cliffjumper from Traitor turned up to the Nth degree"? Is that in response to me? If so the "turned up to the Nth degree" part may be sufficient for an answer. -------------------- |

Well, it's not like Marvel Comics Cliffjumper ever had any personality to contridict. So Cartoon Cliffy played up for fun is fine with me.
And mostly this is just sort of a fun take on him. There's sort of a light hearted ness playing with his suspicious characterization here. -ZacWilliam, I think Magnus's calls and his troops one-liners are pretty fun. I think it would have been a more amusing in-joke if the targets were actually rocks shaped like Decepticons.

Well, it's not like Marvel Comics Cliffjumper ever had any personality to contridict. So Cartoon Cliffy played up for fun is fine with me. Oh, I'm fine with it, too. Just agreeing with the previous post that it was "too expressive," at least (for me) to the extent that it hardly seemed like the character (or, perhaps more accurately, non-character) we used to know ("Traitor" notwithstanding).QUOTE And mostly this is just sort of a fun take on him. There's sort of a light hearted ness playing with his suspicious characterization here. -ZacWilliam, I think Magnus's calls and his troops one-liners are pretty fun. I do, too. Electro's unnatural power is crumbling. That would be pretty awesome if he was like Marvel's Sandman. Or like Midas, but everything he touches crumbles. -ZacWilliam, my own Electro is fine. But I live in terror of even opening the box to look at my Black Zarak. -------------------- Ever wonder about the speed of Turbofoxes?

Are we really complaining that the characterization is too strong and the characters are too expressive?

People complain to complain. Heck people were complaining Scoop was in a panel of their other story because they were assured he'd die.

You've got a pretty broad definition of "complaining."

You've got a pretty broad definition of "complaining." Stop yer complaining! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif) The Internet is 96% complaining and porn by weight. -ZacWilliam, the rest is approximately 3% ponies and 1% complaining about pony porn IIRC. -------------------- Ever wonder about the speed of Turbofoxes?
