Just wondering if there are any stories of interest regarding the no 3rd party stuff rules and confiscation at Botcon. Were any Funpub or Hasbro reps actually walking around checking dealer booths? Did Brian Savage raid any room trading parties? Did Aaron Archer eat any Igear toys?

And most importantly, did anyone sell any Warbot Defender art?

I heard that Robot Kingdom got a visit at their booth from one of the Hasbro reps and were told to get rid of some of the third party merchandise they were displaying. But nothing was confiscated in that case that I heard about. And Captured Prey was subtly displaying MMC's Cyclops, plus actually selling Renderform's Goldbug upgrade parts, and nothing seemed to happen to them. What little action there was in enforcement seemed to be pretty easy-hand level. Hopefully if this stipulation remains in the future, compliance and enforcement will maintain their relative levels of respect.

Other than Captured Prey being douche-bags I didn't notice anything.

Substantial quantities of my money seem to have been confiscated by various parties at the con, and somehow various toys were left in the place of said legal tender (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

yeah, robot kingdom had to put some stuff away, but nothing outside of that.

All the good stuff was up at the 'Parts Parties' after the con.

Didn't matter if they had to. There was a a bulletin board and signs in various elevators to private in-room 3rd party sales. It was like going to a plastic crack speakeasy.

The ban on third party toys just made their sale more underground, but barely inconvenient.

That was Robot Kingdom. They were also displaying a Hercules, and the Perfect Effect blue motorcycle "Arcee" on and off.

For anyone at the hotel who was not there for the convention, I'm sure the little post-it notes of "Parts Party Room 426" must have had their minds in the gutter.
