Amazon preorder page The vectors used in the cover art appear to have all been lifted from the season two poster that Nayuki made, which is an improvement over season one's cover but still a bit :effort:. Nayuki, you need to talk to them and convince them to hire you to make all-new clip art for the covers and menus if they ever get around to doing a Blu-Ray release! -------------------- "Pinkie's brain is kind of like a supersonic missile without a targeting system." - Creature SH

Bought season 1 about a month ago. I'll get this, naturally.
Too bad there aren't any commentaries this time around. They were the best feature of the season 1 set. -------------------- Hey, check out one of my sites!

Too bad there aren't any commentaries this time around. They were the best feature of the season 1 set. Is it outright confirmed that there's no commentaries or have they simply not been mentioned? Granted, I can think of a few reasons why they wouldn't but just trying to make sure. -------------------- |

As useful as it will be to have physical DVDs as opposed to fighting my horrible internet, it looks like the Season 2 Roundup thread will be almost over by the time this is out.

If memory serves, wasn't the season 1 roundup done by the time those DVD's came out? Oh well. I guess what matters is that we'll finally be able to fast forward, rewind and skip credits...the three shortcomings of Netflix. -------------------- |

Once all the roundups are finished we can revisit any episode you want.

Lesson of the day, when we go on some crazy quest, don't let Fnu Aw hold the Dues Ex Magical Artifact. Right, that's it. Tomorrow, I'm painting a giant pentagram on the floor, then buying a goat and sacrificing it to Fnu Aw, Lord of All Evil. |

Do we know if Derpy is fullly derped yet?
-------------------- I find you to be a valuable member of the community. ... That...makes sense. Your theory is fairly well thought out, and definitely sounds like it could work. Holy crap! That's very haunting. I must fav that! That just replaced my other Luna fav. |

Do we know if Derpy is fullly derped yet? Not understanding the question. Do you mean in Last Roundup, if they're going to have the original version or corrected version? Haven't heard anything personally, but one would assume that they'd use the "corrected" version. Good thing there's still the old DVD for the real version. But I get the feeling the Hub would just as soon that the original version didn't exist. -------------------- |

Even The Mysterious Mare Do Well? Sure. Why not? Do we know if Derpy is fullly derped yet? Shout! hasn't said, but I assume they're using the "fixed" version, as that's the version Hasbro would send out. It's possible Shout! is using the version of the episode that they already had, but unlikely. -------------------- You're turning into the real-life version of that little devil that hovers over people's shoulders and tells them to do horrible things. All things considered, I wouldn't be surprised if The Last Roundup is why there isn't commentary on the disk.

That's... an odd connection to make. The first set didn't have commentary on every episode, anyway. Why would they not be able to do commentary just because The Last Roundup happens to be in the set?

I figure that despite it already being explained, fans will be clamoring to hear why the "wrong" Derpy is in there. I could see them wanting to cut their losses and just not deal with even more backlash since commentary on the episode would re-ignite things and ignoring it would have fans calling them out.
The other theory was just to say they're being cheapskates but that's not enough conspiracy theory for the interweb. -------------------- |

Just got mine today. No commentaries unfortunately.
*sighs* It has the edited Last Roundup. Not surprising but still dissapointing. Thank goodness I still have the Friendship Express DVD. Extras: 1. San Diego Comic-Con panel (haven't watched it yet) 2. Sing Alongs: The Perfect Stallion, Love is in Bloom, Smile Smile Smile, Every Pony 3. Printable coloring sheets 4. Live Stage Reading of "Hearth's Warming Eve" (haven't watched it yet) Nice to have the entire season on DVD now (still in time to be useful in the Retro thread). Like I said, not surprising, but still dissapointing that Last Roundup is edited. But it does keep the old DVD useful. I'm just glad I have all three seasons now (1&2 on DVD and 3 on iTunes). Poor Derpy! -------------------- |

Oh well. Derpy's cute no matter what voice they give her.

Got my copy Wednesday, and doubly glad that I anticipated it having the edited version of "The Last Roundup".
Also, the "Hearth's Warming Eve" reading? Very entertaining. -------------------- William Rendfeld
