Eh, I guess I'll use tags since it is the first post.
HIGHLIGHT to view: So, what was the point of the clones besides being an Animated reference? It would have been(will be?) interesting if the clones were used to make the seekers. Seeing as those guys already exist in the other expressions of Aligned continuity. This post has been edited by Silent_Magnus: Apr 21 2012, 08:08 PM -------------------- |

I hope this clone subplot amounts to more than just (presumably) getting Starscream a new T-cog.

Guess we know how Starscream's getting his T-cog back. That ending, Starscream crying over the black screen; that was pretty funny.
This was a fun episode just for the general chaos of the whole thing and all the different crazy stuff going on at once. I was expecting... more from Airachnid's Insecticon threat, but at least now we'll get getting some variety with the Decepticon drone warriors. I wonder if Starscream's got any protoforms left and we might have more individualized Seekers to look forward to, or if this'll be the end of the clone idea altogether? I kind of want him to stop being such a joke of a third faction and start building up his own threat. It's been fun watching him being so utterly pathetic this season and getting humiliated by everyone, even humans, but I'm kind of over that now. Comedy relief villains are only good for so long. Still, Steve Blum's performance elevates the character no matte what he's doing, so it's hard to complain. And I'm kinda glad Airachnid's out of commission for the time being. I was getting a little sick of Arcee running off to fight her alone and losing over and over. At least she finally beat her... even if her victory could be chalked up to Airachnid's own carelessness. Also, was kind of hoping the Nemesis would crash in the ocean just to solidify the "G1 done right" vibe. Wherever it is, it must be close to Jasper considering Bulkhead had to drive home without a ground bridge. Dang, but a lot happaned in this episode. -------------------- Hey, check out one of my sites!

I guess, that is what I thought he was going to use the protoforms for in the first place. -------------------- |

I do love how Prime Megatron just takes everything in stride.
"Oh, four Starscreams, yawn." "Insecticon army? How droll." "Now I'm their leader? Whatevs." -------------------- |

Who wants to bet Megatron kept one of the Starscream clones barely alive for Soundwave to "play" with? He surely knows they have the pain feedback effect on the original, and since they have all his memories, he could either brainwash it into being his new Starscream, or just yank out every little bit of info on what he's been doing while he's away.

Well.... more questions then answers. Like, "was there a point to the Starscream clones and the Insecticon Army?" I don't even think Starscream got a T-Cog out of it.
I don't think Airachnid's done - Stasis won't keep her locked up. And yeah, Megatron just doesn't give a hug does he. -edit- Also, was this the Named Loyal Decepticons Week Off or something? You think Soundwave would be involved in something as important as the Nemesis Crashing, and that Dreadwing would pitch in to help with two attempts on Megatron's life. Insecticons followed the Mook Rule: a single one is a scary threat, with the potential to beat Megatron. A hundred of them, however, are mowed down by just about anyone.

Well, remember in the first episode when 2 Vehicons were enough to give Bumblebee and Arcee a hard time?
It's just the nature of henchman characters. Tough in their first appearance, fodder after that. -------------------- Hey, check out one of my sites!

The whole episode, the scene progression, the dialogue, felt...off? Stiff? Unnatural? I'm not sure what word I'd call it, but I wouldn't call it good. Probably my least favorite episode this season, more for how the material was handled than the plot itself.
I look forward to being the only person that feels this way about this episode ever. -------------------- Being part of any fandom is fundamentally embarassing.

I wish the Hub would stop putting bugs over the intro credits. Last week it was the director of the Rescue Bots episode, this time the writer of Armada got his credit rendered unreadable. His first name's Matt, but we haven't had a Prime writer with that name before so... Oh well, we'll find out when it goes up on hubworld.com.
That was one intense episode. I fully expected Arcee to end up falling into another trap when she chased Airachnid, but no! At least now Fowler's got some good news for his superiors. I guess we'll have to wait and see if Airachnid's out of it for the time being. Megatron having an army of loyal Insecticons can't be a good thing though, even if conservation of ninjutsu is in effect. -------------------- TFWiki.net - The Transformers Wiki: because where else are you going to learn about The Battle for Planet Earth?

It was really nice the way the episode was arranged, with it starting in the middle and catching up later. Much more interesting than it being straightforward.

That was a crazy episode, so much stuff happened. I really enjoyed it, but I did notice that the character animation was a bit... over-stated? for this ep.
That said, one crazy day. -------------------- Don't fail to see Nyarlathotep if he comes to Providence. He is horrible — horrible beyond anything you can imagine — but wonderful. He haunts one for hours afterward. I am still shuddering at what he showed. |
