I got really tired of staring at his ugly yellow mug with his unfinished silver paint. Someone dropped the ball here when they made the choice to make him weathered and not actually paint his face. It's bothered me from the first day I put him together. I thought long and hard about making his face black and I decided that was the path I wanted to take. I wanted him to be a little different from the crowd. Aside from this I added some black detail to parts of the helmet and cleaned up the back of the head a little. The eyes were a clear (very dark) blue and when I put them back in the head I really didn't like them. They just blended right in to the darkness. So, I chose to paint them red due to the big autobot symbol on his chest but I really wonder now if he shouldn't be a Decpeticon.

good job. and this might just be only me, but i don't think the new paint job goes well with the whole yellow paint scheme. if he was darker or had similar colors to the new head colors, then it might look better. but that just might be me

The contrast of the black face (awesome touch, by the way) and the silver to the body gives it a very animated feel, and it really seems to give him more character. |

And as far as the red I think the huge autobot symbol really helps there.
