I've noticed a lot of people complainin about how much stuff ends up on earth in TF:P.

And yes..It is a lot, but really it doesn't seem to be without reason.

We know the TFs hid Energon on all sorts of planets, and that means there where likley outposts.. Wich needs supplies, which need ships. Also since earth was a far outplanet, and probably seemed rather insignificant, it might have made for testing grounds *for the decepticon weapons* or a hiding place *for the autobot stuff* Heck, the plauge vessel may have actually been -from- earth and crashed in another part.

After all we do know a -lot- of battles happened previously on earth. As for some of the other stuff... No doubt a Dark god's pressence could bring stuff.

All I'm saying is it seems like the TFs have had a -long- history with earth, and may have been sending stuff back and forth for even.... thousands of years before Prime and crew got stranded.

They're just one step away from establishing that Earth is in the center of the universe.
Because it just has to he super-ultra-important.

Can't be just a random planet where TF's randomly crash or random planet that becomes a target for the Decepticons.
Cuz that would just be silly.

I think they've established now Why things are there...

but it would be all the more believe able if Prime got a call from autobots on another planet, who told him about all the stuff they'd collected/ didn't stop decepticons from getting.

Or at very least stated that there is some kind of anomaly or naturally occuring transwarp shunt or something between Cybertron and Earth that ends up pulling it in such a way that most things launched off Cybertron end up Earth-bound. Maybe even explain Unicron being there for a better reason than just "because".

Umm... I would be inclined to belive unicron -is- the reason.

Remember.. Unicron isn't just *at earth* he -is- earth,

Honestly, at this point I've been assuming it has to do with Unicron and Dark Energon being inside the Earth.

In fact, I'm shocked that the writers didn't use the Season 1 finale to make that connection explicit. There's still room on the series to do it, though.

It would be a nice change of pace.....hell I doubt it would cost much just to make the faces for the screens.
it does get old that these are galaxy traveling beings and somehow they always get cut off on earth....animated was indeed different but not what I am talking about...

Well I'm pretty sure they've basicly stated they -can't- just comminicate with other colonies. They couldn't even get in contact with Wheeljack untill he was relativly close.

Actually, that part makes sense; they might not have access to whatever Cybertronian tech would allow FTL communication. I know Star Trek and Star Wars make it look easy, but communicating in real-time over interstellar distances is just as "impossible" as physical FTL travel --no human has ever needed to communicate over that range, so it could only be done with Cybertronian tech.

Even if you can punch a comm signal to the other side of Earth, just sending a message to Proxima Centauri at light speed would take over four years at light speed (and any Cybertronian colonies would likely be even further away). It'd be faster to send a courier, and until Wheeljack arrived, the Autobots apparently had no ships.

So, no contact with anyone outside the solar system other than via spacebridge or actually getting in an FTL-capable ship and going there.

It's a lot like the overly complicated plot pile up of the movies, where Earth is where the Allspark and Thus Megatron landed, but also where the Harvester and Matrix are, and also where the Ark and Sentinel ended up after an unintended damaging of thier ship. You can make behind the scenes explanations of them all being related, but in the end it just feels a little ridiculous.

Prime on the other hand does have earth's core being Unicron, and he is a god, so it's not out of the question that he tends to somehow collect Cybertronian junk. It's no less plausible than the Animated Allspark choosing for Prime to find it and choosing to warp them to Earth. Or maybe Earth's just a natural point where crap piles up in the river of transwarp. In either case, it can be explained away, but still feels kind of silly when no one ever questions it.

Although it is kind of implied that many of the items, especially the ones mentioned in the Iacon Archives plot-bucket were placed on Earth quite deliberately. Why? We may never know.

I would wager that the Forge of Solus Prime might have been there because it was originally used to craft Unicron's prison.
