Something I got to thinking about.

With G1, that 20-year gap between S2 and the movie saw Spike and Carly get married, whereupon Carly got pregnant and delivered Daniel.

Cybertron ended with Tim & his wife having a daughter, as well as Franklin and Dr. Suzuki having a child of their own.

And in Animated, we saw how Optimus and Ratchet reacted upon learning about such matters... but none of the other characters.

Which gets me to wondering.

How, pray tell, would the Autobots (or *any* Cybertronian, for that matter) generally react to such human concepts as pregnancy, childbirth, and child-rearing?

"At my last intern briefing, Craig was clearly tired. His message had changed to, "Stay out of trouble, period." It seemed that, as director of security, Livingstone was growing old fast. If he didn't watch out, he'd become one of us - a 'Mormon' or a 'straight,' which is what Clinton staffers called FBI agents, the Secret Service, and former Bush employees."

I'm doing a fanfic that is basically a total overhaul of A/E.

As part of it, Rad and Alexis hook up and start a family.

Given that half the characters are dysfunctional on a good day,* I was wondering what sort of havoc would be wrought upon the discovery that there was going to be a little one running about soon.

*

Among other things -

Refute is a chain smoker.

Lazerbeak is addicted to Mountain Dew.

Flyboy (an OC who turns into a flamingo) is stuck in the days of Disco.

Lander (another OC) has... issues with his aggression.

Seaspray (an OC mini-con who turns into both a penguin and a submarine) thinks he's a pimp.

Optimus is slowly going neurotic because of who and what he has to deal with on a regular basis.

I didn't see anything weird about the question until the word "fanfic" appeared. :/

That's hardly fair, he didn't bring it up until someone asked him.
