And both racks of DOTM toys rang up this way on price scanners

Yeah, not sure I'm understanding Target's logic here. Meanwhile Walmart's dropping the prices of DOTM stuff so fast you'd think it was tainted with Ebola or something.

Voyagers are $24.36 where I am.

Joes are $10.99.

What the hell, man.

So instead of Canadian prices dropping, America raised theirs to match the Canadian ones?

What madness is this?

These raised prices made me all the more confused when I found a lone Leader Sentinel Prime that rang up as 'Ultra Prime' for $30. I bought it, safe to say.

I've seen Walmart "clearance" things out for a dollar or two more than the original price occasionally.

Remember years ago when Target's computers swapped the prices of 3 inch and 6 inch Titaniums? Maybe they did it here. Perhaps they think they are discounting DOTM voyagers to $16?

That isn't even the craziest thing Target is doing. There is some mature video game that if you buy it you can get free Mountain Dew. The problem is to buy the game you have to be carded and the Mountain Dew is attached to the game in the system somehow so if you buy just Mountain Dew they will card you.

It would make sense if they caught on to how popular the Generations line was but this isn't even a toy anybody really needs. It gotta be a mistake cause he's gonna be there a long time

Speedway has Cadbury eggs on the counter a month after easter. I asked "How much are these?" and she said "A dollar one" and I said "A piece??" They were cheaper than that before easter.

Good luck selling stale candy for twice what it originally costs.

In 2009 Walmart had ROTF Scout 2 packs for $15. They later went on clearance for $16 for the 2 pack.

What's driving me crazy, isn't the fact that they've still got a lot of DotM merchandise out. It's the fact that the seem to be waiting until most of it is gone, before they put out the Prime Cyberverse toys. Honestly, only once so far, have I even seen a whole case of them on the pegs, and as for the Commanders, forget it. Those, were two different places, on two different days, not even located with the Transformer toys, and the first time I saw them, they were actually marked off as "Clearance."

Well, that explains why I've never seen either legions or commanders at my local Target, despite buying both Bulkhead and Starscream a month-and-a half ago (they were tossed in the clearance section and wouldn't ring up at the register).

Nothing Target's done recently seems to make any sense. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the swarms of PRID Bumblebee are as much a conscious decision on Target's behalf as it is a product of poor case ratios. None of the other chains are clogged that badly so it can't be entirely down to an over-saturation of unwanted Bees, otherwise Walmart would be just as much a victim of the dreaded bee hive.

Either way, I've learned to avoid my local store for the next couple of months - unless I happen to be in the area on other business. I did manage to snag a lone Arcee two weeks ago, so that's a small ray of sunshine. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif)

That reminds me of something: A store near me put out about three cases worth of Prime Deluxes several weeks ago. I went back there late last week and all the Prime Deluxes were gone, leaving only the half dozen DOTM deluxes that had been there before (Cyberfire Bumblebee and Mudflap).

My Wal-Mart still has them at $16.00 now with dust.
