Well we have seen many remolds due to Hasbro giving hints with instruction manuals. Right now we should expect
Thunderwings remold (dark shadow or something like that) Scrap heap Scourge remold Maybe a Nemesis Prime repaint out of g2 Prime Kup's remold Percepter's remold - wasnt it suppose to be Reflector - this was shown at Botcon Am I missing anyone or anything else. Does this give a hint that Generations will last into the movie line. I for one am not excited about the new movie toys and I can only hope that Generations continues to further fuel my addiction. |

We don't know what will happen when the movie line hits. It's entirely possible that we'll get some of those remolds after the movie comes and goes (kind of like how we got Sideswipe and Sunstreaker in Universe, and then Red Alert in Generations).

Hasbro has repeatedly stated that their PLAN is to continue the Generations assortment through the movie promotion. But it is worth noting that they had PLANNED to continue Transformers Animated alongside Revenge of the Fallen and that clearly did not happen due to retailer pressures.
As is, I'm taking a wait and see approach. Even if Generations is ended for movie toys, Hasbro will almost certainly start up another "nostalgia" line next year as the movie promotion burns itself out. |

Yeah there is a chance that some of these retools won't see release in the near future. We'll have to wait to Toyfair to see their plans. Even after the event they may change too. Who knows.
There's also a third Junkion head based on Junkyard in addition to Scrapheap. Jazz's retool who's head is similar to Rodimus' in design but not Rodimus. Also retools of Lugnut, Terradive, and Tomahawk in addition to the ones you listed and those above. Randy -------------------- ![]() |

Someone once said 'Hasbro would never leave finished molds unreleased'.
After Hydrodive Bumblebee and Blackout, I'm not going to believe that again. As far as I'm concerned, the indefinite suspension of Generations will remain a possibility until proven otherwise, 'expanding presense in the toy aisle' plan or no. If retailers only want movie product and nothing else, they could put the kibosh on non-movie product once again. They could even be sold as movie filler.

Shouldn't the case of the unreleased Animated be treated as an exception and not as precedent?
Animated, show and toy line, was canceled due to Hasbro ending their relationship with Cartoon Network (as they focused on the Hub and their partnership with Discovery)... so why would Hasbro actively release product based off of a cartoon from a network that's not the Hub? Like it or not Animated can be seen still as competition to Prime! It's a weird situation for sure, and I'm sure Hasbro would like nothing more for children to discard their old Animated Optimus and Bumblebee so they can go run out and but a brand new Prime Op and BB! (well, maybe a DotM Op and BB first... lol) Generations on the other hand is a filler line whose selling point is nostalgia. By definition it can never grow old, it will never directly compete with whatever is the flagship line for TFs at the time. But I guess it's existence does depend in retailer demand, so I hope their smart enough to realize that having that half aisle block of only movie figures would be a stupid idea. Unless the big stores want more figures acting like Mudflap and Ravage. Ha. C'mon Hasbro! Change Generations packaging to white and black like DotM's and trick the retailers into stocking it! Aren't they dropping the Generations and HFTD titles and merging them into reveal the shield or something like that so they all have the same packaging similar to HFTD with out the specific line title?

Either way, I eagerly await to see what becomes of these other heads, be they a Western or Eastern release first.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-megs.gif) I got Takara Blackout, but still refuse to buy Hydrodrive BB and Wingblade OP due to the aweful metallic color. And there is also Voyager TC... Why won't hasbro release those? Along with RH Laserbeak/Prowl and Victory Saber/Deathsaurus, when these toys made it as far as the packaging stage, ready to be shipped. Why won't hasbro release those? Probably because they can't find a retailer who will buy them. That's why they were "canceled" in the first place; lack of interest from the retailers. I mean of course Hasbro wants them released. They like making money just like anyone else. But no one to buy them means no reason to make them Along with RH Laserbeak/Prowl and Victory Saber/Deathsaurus, when these toys made it as far as the packaging stage, ready to be shipped. I bet somewhere, there is a warehouse with lots of these packaged, unreleased toys... I won't be surprised if there are some packaged figures (probably just Bulkhead and Thundercracker though) somewhere. If there are, I'd imagine them getting a quiet release in another country, just like the three "Target exclusive" Scouts. -------------------- |

HFTD got replaced by Reveal the Shield, which does contain a lot of figures we would have previously expected to be in Generations, yep. But Generations is still going too. |

Why not put up on their own store? I'm sure Hydrodrive BB, Blackout and Wingblade Prime would be cheaper there than what BBTS offers them for. -------------------- |

HTS might not warrant producing those figures (their exclusives are almost always SDCC exclusives or exclusives to another country - such as the Universe Special Editions). So HTS can't support 10,000 or more of each which is way less numbers than Transformers are usually produced at.
BBTS isn't likely to want them either as they already had the Japanese ones for sale (decreasing any demand for them), and the prices they would likely have to sell them at could very well end up being more than the Japanese ones sold for. Randy -------------------- ![]() |

Windcharger is out in the some areas. He just hasn't hit saturation (or the US for that matter).
