It's not an alt. It's something different. No rules apply.

Boring.
No, really. I don't get the appeal. It looks like something that could have been released instead of Hero Megatron and nobody would have noticed the difference, technology-wise. -------------------- The TFWiki: when just five Infernos aren't enough. http://www.tfwiki.net

Sorry for my spelling. =P
I'm not meaning to be meaninglessly shooting down either. But here whe have this 'thing' that nobody really knows where its from and if it really IS something at all. So I'm just passing forward my doubts. -------------------- |

I like it, whatever it is. Not nearly on the same level of awesome as Classics Megs, of course, but I do like it.

Here ya go, as well as a thumbnail to the picture that it looks like. (IMG:http://www4.army.mil/ocpa/uploads/medium/OCPA-2005-03-09-165522.jpg) [attachment=4791:attachment] -Lio Kaiser. While interesting as a possibile toy, it's ass art... so NOT Don-level work, and the Blitzwing colors (even the helmet is tan?) make me fear it. I'm assuming and hoping it's fan art. Megs should be a dark green or light grey tank, if he's a tank at all. -------------------- |

I do like this version. I'd love to see it come about. Not big on the beige so I grayed it up a bit. Well, with my monitor's settings I grayed him up some. (IMG:http://www.allspark.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif) that looks terrific by the way. -------------------- |

When I first saw this I immediately sassumed it was a fake. Just too fan wanky.
Starting to think otherwise now.. As for the Nerf Gun vs Tank argument, why does it even exist? Why can't you folks be happy with all the previous tank Megs we've had and wait for another one to come out. I hate all this everything has to be the same alt mode crap. -------------------- ![]() |

Eh, it's not bad, but nothing spectacular really. Maybe it's the color, or the desperate attempt at making him look as close to G1 Megs as a whole while having all the little details looking wrong, but it just screams generic to me. The upcoming Classic Megatron has much more personality to me, and I actually prefer his more colorful look to this.

Should this ba an actual toy-item, I'm leaning towards "non-transformable action figure" myself. Too much vehicle mode missing in robot mode. And most of the color-model sheets for transforming Transformers I've seen... uh... tend to HAVE the alt-mode on them.

I think I figured out how the treads could transform...it looks kind of like they double up on temselves (i.e. 'fold in half', which would still enable the tank to have 'real treads' if they executed the action by rearranging the wheels the treads are hung upon.
I can't frickin' WAIT for this toy. It's exactly what I wanted. I hope to God this is real. -------------------- I am here to save the universe. Too much vehicle mode missing in robot mode. I don't see this at all, Siph. I think it's pretty clear where all his tank goes. -------------------- |

I think it's too technically detailed for your average fan-work. It even shows how the feet collapse into the legs. Plus if it was a fan-work, they would have almost certainly made him grey, not tan. not if they wanted to make everyone think it was real (IMG:http://www.allspark.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/icon-wildride.gif) It would take a lot of effort to do something like that, maybe more than it's worth. Occam's razor says it's real. -------------------- (,>.<, ) ....******

Looking closely¸ I think youre right. I don't see a line on the tread on his left leg that would make it look like it's 2 pieces... that, and those would be really thin for a big ass tank. Even if this isn't real (action figure/transformer/statue), it's a great starting point for a scratch-built custom. |
